Guys... we literally just had a snow storm that set a record for the most amount of snow fall for January 28/29 ever.

I took me just over 4 hours to drive home from work last night. I finished at 8pm and got home just after midnight. There was people spinning out all around me as I drove up the DVP (a terrible highway that’s always horrible even in nice weather). Then people going 100k+ AROUND people spinning out or having a hard time controlling their cars. Honestly it was the most nerve wrecking drive home in my life.

Then this morning I got up at 6am to shovel/snow blow out my driveway and clear snow off my car. I opened the garage door and “BANG!” Door comes out of bracket and falls on the right side. Guess where my car was... yep. In the garage. So I couldn’t get into the garage to get a shovel or the snow blower so I could get a path to my parent’s cars to clean them off and move them. Or remove the nearly 5ft snow mountain at the bottom of my driveway thanks to all the snow ploughs that came this morning...

So, I’ve given up. It’s now 2:19pm and I’ve given up on my mission to get to work and be productive. I’m stuck and that’s it. I’m frustrated and close to tears. Ahahaha!!! So I will bury myself in ponies and make myself happy that way.

Also, I hate snow and winter and I am willing to move somewhere warmer if anyone would like to adopt me.

To all my snowbound peeps, stay safe and warm.

I love the snow! But I also refuse to shovel the driveway so I'd probably feel different if I actually had to do that. I have a Jeep so can usually get out but can't always get back in. I work at a hospital so we're never closed, my husband's job always closes when it snows so he usually does the driveway clearing then I just gotta take it slow getting in and hope no one beside me slides into my lane! Just bury yourself in the ponies til Spring!

Hopefully your job lets you call off due to extreme snow conditions x.x

Snow needs to stop being all thicc and extra

Snow is only allowed on Christmas morning and that is it, then it can go and not return for another 365. It causes more problems than joy. ;p
My families cars all handle great in the snow. But I also was trained as a “defensive driver” which is the same course police, EMT and firemen have to take here. So I have a good grip and confidence in my driving habits and skills. It’s everyone else on the road says that concern me. All the time.

I was listening to a news report recently and it said that our major highway is in the top 10 of the world’s worst for driving on. For many reasons but the tops were congestion, hazards on the roads, collisions and deaths. I am one of millions who drive it daily. That news report has frightened me a little and I’ve started taking other, longer, routes to places. Lol!

Thankfully yes! They let me take the day but mostly because they knew I didn’t leave work right away and I called at like 8am (with photo proof) that my morning already sucked.

I love looking at snow, but I never want it around. It makes my critters cold and I don't like that. And neither do they.

I hate to admit it, after hearing how bad your drive home was, I'm glad you couldn't go to work. Maybe something was telling you stay home where it's safe. Sounds very dangerous out there to be driving with loons.

since I also live in canada yes im tired of all the stupid snow I have to shovel off my walkway. :/ I only like the sticky snow that sticks to the trees and the bushes. that is about it.

Yikes. I've heard that several people have literally frozen to death.

I miss the snow. You could always move out West. You already have two friends here. It snowed here this morning, but it's the wimpy Vancouver snow and will likely be gone by morning.

If the cost of living wasn’t so dang high I would totally move out west. The weather is much better there for my health than these fridgid temperatures.

I admit, I don't know how you guys can do the continued bitter cold. We might get a bad week here and there, but then it warns some. It would be so brutal for my animals too. I just couldn't handle it.

Then again, I guess I can do extreme heat, as we've hit as high as 122 here once and plus 100 days are the usual here for summer.

I just hate being cold. It makes my knees hurt.

My MS hates the cold too. So I always have to that much more careful when it’s bitter out. But oddly enough I’d rather the cold over snow. I can’t stand snow, removing it from my driveway & sidewalks. How people magically forget how to drive as soon as snow hits the ground. Every single time. Like what the heck?

I miss snow.
Yinchun is in a desert climate, so it never snows or hardly ever rains here. it gets cold enough to snow though.
It so dry, I HATE it. The humidity right now is 11%
