Should Pony Points be revived?

I would be for it. And with the current technology, they could easily do it as "visit this website, sign in and add to your points".

Absolutely!! That was such a fun thing to save for; I still have a bunch of books and things with the corners cut off from where I cut out the points to send them in. And like @bluerose9978 said, with today's technology you wouldn't even have to physically cut out the little certificates, it could be done with scan codes or something.

Id be all for a new pony points program. I do not remember what happened with the old one I think maybe there was a mix up???

care to fill me in on what happened?

They offered the 3-feet-tall plush Frilly Frocks during the second, I think, round of G3 points offers. Problem was, that they didn't change the shipping cost to reflect her massive size. So a lot of people ordered and paid the requested $6-7 shipping. Hasbro caught the mistake and halted orders. I think they did ship to some for the cheap price, and they eventually shipped for people who agreed to pay correct shipping, which was around $30. But they didn't offer anything else like that again.

Plus, they ended up with so many left over Love Wishes from the third round that they had enough to ship more than 300 to MLP Fair staff in 2006 for the Fair exclusive (which became Frisco and Trolley) and then offered the rest in "party packs" of eight on the HTS site.

that's no reason to shut the whole points program down, and making a whole new gen pay for their own slip up.

If they lost money on it, they aren't likely to repeat it. Reviving the program with digital codes rather than mail-in points (similar to the Disney Movie Rewards) would have made sense in the beginning of Friendship Is Magic, when the show was gaining popularity, especially when the adult fanbase began to explode. Considering now that we're supposedly reaching the end of the show and it hasn't happened, I seriously doubt that it will.

I admit, I've saved the points off every G4 I've every opened, just hoping they'd revive the 'giveaways'. I knew it was unlikely, but there's always that little hopeful glint that jesss maybeee they'll change their minds.

Wishful thinking, I know. Sigh.
