I have someone interested in buying my whole collection. Not being a dealer, and I am very new to this can anyone give me any tips on how to price the whole collection as one lot? here are pics http://joannepagecote.imgur.com
Any help will be appreciated

Honestly I think you would make a lot more selling them separately. I would definitely take that Jem llama out and sell it separately. It is a lot less work to sell in a lump, but you will get less money in the long run. Back when I was in college I used to buy huge lots of ponies and then sell them off separately. I once bought a lot with a baby in it that sold for almost as much as I paid for the lot. Sorry I am not much help. It has been a LONG time since I collected MLP, so I cannot even tell you what things are really worth. I hope someone comes along that can be of more help :)

Ooo, you have some nice ones in there. Jem Llama is worth at least $100.00. Tux and tails, maybe $30-50. The dream beauties I see going for at least $50.00 each. The Colorswirl is probably around $30.00. (These are ebay sold listing prices I'm quoting. Selling them off-ebay might decrease the value a little bit because ebay charges high selling fees.) I would add up the value of the most expensive ones, then tack on a little more for the rest of them if you want so sell as a lot. Or you can do what Icey said and sell the most valuable ones individually, then sell the others as a lot. Good luck!

I have 78 ponies of which I think 9 are NM in the $100 Canadian price range. another 49 are NM; and the other 18 G-VG. 2 bait. Do you think asking $1500 Canadian would be too much?
Without the Llama. I also have a bunch of accessories, rattles a balloon that clamps on to the leg, diapers, brushes plates, baby bottles, a pink hat, a little white shirt with velcro that has MLP on it,a necklace, sparle pick, ribbons,cups....

Hmm, I definitely wouldn't take less than $950 CAD for them (since you have the 9 valuable ones.) As for the NM, I would average them at about $5.00 each maybe. So yes, $1200 - $1500 sounds about right. The only thing is that in my experience, people buying in lots tend to want a discount since they are buying a large amount, so maybe start at $1500 and leave some haggling room maybe?

There are other sellers on here that are much more experienced than I, so hopefully you can get some more opinions.

I did this with my first collection and it was a huge mistake. I did not get a fair price on any of my ponies. I so regret it now. i have noticed people who want lots quite often are flippers so, they want a deal. They won't pay value price for each pony. Accessories can also hold value too. A princess crown barrette is worth 65.00 pretty much. I would not recommend this since you are not a collector and could easily lose in this process.

I have a yellow fish hairclip with pink hair Is this from MLP?

Give me a second I might be able to tell you hold on.

I know Lady Lovely Locks had clips with hair too. They were called Pixietails. It really sounds like a pixie tail. I know that LLL had a fish pixie tail that was blue so maybe the yellow with pink. I could tell you with a photo for sure.

check this out...look down at the bottom where they list fish tails. Sometimes they have variants.

mlp accessory 005.JPG mlp accessory 007.JPG mlp accessory 006.JPG this is the clip I'm talking about The curly part is pink and the long part of the tail is more of a golden colour than a bright yellow

That is Lady Lovelilocks Pixie Tail you have there. Not MLP.

Maybe she got it in a trade or a friend left it by accident. Who knows. I found toys in parking lots as a kid..and garage sales. LLL had animal pets too. Its a huge line. There were seals, dragons all sorts of stuff.
