I agree! The art style isn't exactly like anything that's come before, and in fact that head looks a bit like the dollymix molds, apart from the missing browbone

They're an interesting mashup! I feel like they're more... angular... than the G1s or G3s were? Those chiseled jawlines would make Fabio weep. 
I like the style, but I do agree that it's a bit disconcerting.

Although, the Amazon link mentioned they're in three-inch scale? I don't have a ruler or measuring tape on hand myself- but, that's roughly around the ballpark of a regular G3's height, right?

No, not really. G4s are 3 inches, and you can see the scale by comparing to the retro twilight which is boxed with G4.5 TS. These will be G4 sizedOMG! These look super cute!
