Hi all,

I have a few ponies in my collection with bite marks down their sides. I want to restore them, but I'm not sure the best way to do so.

I've looked at mlppreservationproject, but aside from apoxie sculpt I've also seen suggestions for insta-cure gap filler and tamiya sculpt. Insta-cure gap filler was suggested for its smoother/thinner application, but I also need some sort of sculpt to repair a pony's ear and would rather buy one thing than two.

Anyone have any experience fixing up bite marks on their ponies, especially G1s? Do you have any pics? What did you use?

Thanks in advance

The best thing would probably be to purchase a sculpy that’s either white or close to exact match to your pony. You can easily fill holes and fix missing bits but you’ll have to paint and match which can be frustrating.
Make sure the sculpy product doesn't need to be baked.

Thanks for the advice guys! I pulled the trigger and ordered some apoxie sculpt (no baking involved), I agree with @Skybreeze that it seems like a good all-around restoration option. Color-matching the paint will be a pain but I have multiple chewed-up ponies so I just went with white clay. I also ordered some repinking dye and glitter for symbols so my collection's gonna get really pampered. :satisfied:

I'm excited for the apoxie to get here so that I can give my girls new leases on life - that is, if it goes well  we shall see!

Following cause I just ordered a pony off etsy with a chewed ear I'm looking to pay someone to repair

I'm currently getting a Mimic restored by the person from mlprestoration project as well
