I'm having some Argentina ponies restored. They were in terrible shape. I'll post some before and after pictures. I have pics of three of them. Also, fyi, this project started at the beginning of last october so not really part of my current financial woes. Anyhoo, how much does the restoration effect the resale prices? I wasn't planning on selling, but was curious and want to know for insurance. Most hardcore collectors want original hair and symbols, right? Nirvana ponies can get confusing due to the lack of quality control and lower production numbers. Any opinions?

You're right, most collectors like original-quality ponies. I'm not sure, if anything, that will change the value because your Argys were in need of some help. They look great! I hope you can find someone to help you out!

The restorationist is really good. She's in Argentina and specializes in them. She really loves the ponies.

Wow! They're just gorgeous!

wow the look so nicely done. I have an argie surprise. Im too scared to restore any of my nirvanas because everyone wants original this and that.

This whole lot was in such bad shape, I felt that they needed some love. I can handle frizz and minor cleaning, but not sunfading, paint touch ups, or rehairing. This lady specializees in Argentina restoration and really loves the ponies. I was planning on keeping them, but so much has changed for us, that I probably will have to let them go.

aww thats terrible sorry about that it must hurt to let those pretty ponies go. Maybe you can get some back in the future. :/

My daughter comes first. :) I'll be happy if I can keep one.

I understand that, I have a daughter too. Yeah keeping one would be nice though. :)
