Woohoo! I'm very happy to report that I have full range of motion back in both arms. My neck has it's previous range of motion towards the right back. It's slow going on the left since I'm retraining my shoulder to stay down instead of always compensating for my scoliosis. A little bit more gross to add. Have you flossed your neck today? I have two strings hanging out of my neck that look similar to dental floss. Dissolving stitches! My tail. Trouble is they can't cut the knots to remove the stitches without opening my neck again. <sigh> what can you do, eh? I'm going to need to see the doctor for it because it's irritating the incision. It's pink and swollen. No infection, but definitely angry at something. I swear, I laugh over my afflictions more than anything else.

This is super exciting news Tak!! I’m so happy for you.

The doctor/surgeon should have instraments to safely remove the suture matieral that your body has rejected without sedating you. It’s usually quickly removed with a tiny tool and a snip. :)

It’s nice to hear some good news.

Can’t say I’ve ever flossed my neck, but I appreciate your humour and good nature.

Unfortunately, they can't remove the stitches since they're under the skin. My skin was glued together since the skin on the neck is pretty thin. So, the skin healed, but, since my body can't dissolve the stitches, my body is slowly pushing them out. I just have to put up with it until they all come out and be extra careful that I don't get an infection from those tiny holes the stitches make. Meanwhile I just clip the ends when they get long. It's taking a toll on my immune system, so this cold is worse than it should be. I have grave's disease, too, though, so my immune system is already kinda wonky.
