Pretty in Pink Ponies

Dazzleglow is one of my most favorite G1s. I wonder if the old owner thought she was made of candy and took a bite? At least her hair is still pink. The extra umbrella is an interesting addition. Looking forward to seeing her restored.

She's definitely a well loved pony haha! I absolutely love her so I'm bumping her to the top of my restore list. Honestly if i can't get the pen out I may cover it back up with another umbrella since it's not a bad look

Unfortunately I haven't managed to remove the cigarette smell completely, but she's a lot better than when she arrived poor girl. Other than the smell she's perfect.

I bought this cute winger sometime last autumn.

...and this is the only pricier pony I have bought since last summer. I've been looking for a Baby Milky Way with a centred blue streak for ages to complete another mum-daughter pair, and finally she's here.

Her mum is my childhood Euro Milky Way, so her stars are painted white, which makes her even less look like her daughter than the fact that Baby Milky Way is a pegasus while mum is a unicorn. Their colours don't match either, but they are still a cute pair I think.

I remember Milky Way looking completely different somehow. Maybe Baby Milky Way. I wonder why they’re different species? Maybe a magical baby? I think they’re quite a nice family pair anyway and I like their blue streaks

It's really odd that they chose a baby pegasus instead of a unicorn. Two other TAF babies are different species too, Baby Sweet Tooth and Baby Up, Up and Away are unicorns while their mums are Earth Ponies. They could have just used the baby unicorn mould for Baby Milky Way and use earth baby moulds for the other two instead. I'm really wondering why they made this choice of species swap for these three mum-daughter pairs.

♪My little pony, my (very) little pony♪

Here is my new little McDonald’s Sweet Berry I found yesterday!

She kind of looks like she’s laying down like the artwork of Morning Glory or Light HeartC567B62C-EF15-4F62-84BF-D5210188BE17.png3C2D58FA-75C0-4437-A3DA-68860DF4D659.png

Oh wow, that 2nd photo, how shy she looks from behind the flower, adorable!

Does she have a replacement eye jewel? It somehow looks different than the others I've seen so far. More protruding?

Thanks! :satisfied:

The jewels, nope not a replacement. The McDonalds ones seem to be coming out from inside the heads I think? Both my ones (Morning Glory and Sweet Berry) have their gems sticking right out. I wonder if it’s possible to have them fall out…

Ah, that's interesting. I've never seen a G2 McDonald's in real life, so I haven't even realised that they have different eye jewels. Is she smaller than a regular G2 (just like the G3 McDonald's are smaller than regular G3s)? I like her brushable tail - in contrast to the McD G3s' moulded one!

They’re quite smaller, about half the size. Here’s a quick photo of Morning Glory and her McDonald’s version:

Oh wow, they must be tiny then, as G2s are already quite small. Are they made from a hard plastic (seam on her forehead)?
Yep, their whole body is shiny hard plastic. I actually left Morning Glory in the charity shop for a few days before going back and getting her because the hard plastic put me off a bit but I ended up giving in. Morning Glory’s head turns a lot more smoother (or too smoothly) than Sweet Berry’s whose head is a lot more stiff. Her mould is a lot better in my opinion. Look at those little hooves! Also, the pose itself is fun too.

I had already moved all the new photos I took onto my hard drive so this picture isn’t as clear because I put it onto my pony collection catalogue

Yes, her hooves are adorable! I also love her cute pose. Her mould definitely looks better than Morning Glory's, I didn't even notice in your first photos that she's made from a hard plastic.
