Ponies You Didn't Care About But They Suddenly Caught Your Eye?

Speedy was one, and even after I received her as a gift I didn't like her much, but now I love her! She's really grown on me. The same thing happened with Baby Half Note (yes the BBE one) and Up Up and Away.

I also got Morning Monarch (a g3 pegasus) for Christmas this year and even though I've seen pictures and not really cared for her, seeing her in person must have changed my opinion because now I love her (especially her colors)! :D

I hated Twinkle Eyes when I was little. I had Sweet Stuff and I didn't like the evil look in her eyes. Now I'm trying to collect them all (except Mimic ofc). I also disliked Flutters and Sweetheart Sisters, but I've ended up getting some of them in lots. I'm still not interested in actively collecting them, but maybe they'll grow on me...

I turned my nose up at the Windy Wings. Why did I do that? They're cute and unique! Cool Breeze, Moon Jumper and Flurry are just beautiful!

Seriously this is my pony collecting life... I was like eeeww fuzzy ponies really? Now I have five of them... I was all "jewel eyes... those are weird" Ive got three and working on MORE and love fizzy now! it just keeps happening I have no filter anymore... even g4s I was seriously disliking them because they DO NOT LOOK LIKE PONIES and now I have a small collection of twilight sparkle (pre wings) and rarity... guess my love of unicorns is bigger than the fact that again THEY DONT LOOK LIKE PONIES

I wasn't super keen on the Twinkle Eyed Ponies. They seemed oddly mechanical with their crystalline eyes. I then convinced myself they were cyborgs and their eyes were bionic so they became my favourites.

LOL, I knew someone who said the same thing. His sister and I were playing ponies one day, and when he saw Sweet Stuff he was convinced that she was secretly a robot who could shoot laser beams with her eyes. I've never viewed TEs the same way.

As for the original question - it was Heart Throb. I have no interest in love whatsoever, but I adore her design and she's almost become a ponysona for me.

Oh I have loved those Tropicals from the start. For me it was the Merry Go Round ponies. I didn't like them at all at first and then all of the sudden I saw so much more in them after I got one. I really like them and they are fun to pose my tiny BJD on sometimes. Oh and the teenie babies that look like cats. That took me forever to find them irresistible. I ended up buying some for someone for a swap and fell in love with them. Thats the problem with any pony at all. If you hold it in person and you hated it before, you will love it after holding it.

So-softs. I had always heard how difficult it was to find them in decent condition for a reasonable price and I just never really saw the love. Then I got curious and bought a couple for a good price and fell in love with them, they're so snuzzley and soft and cute cute cute!!!!I now have 8 :D

Probably the whole G4 line. They were okay, and I liked how they were making the series a updated version of what I grew up on. I can't really say what made me start collecting them. But I think the Target Exclusive Wysteria was the start. I have always loved Wysteria (the plant AND the pony) so I have a soft spot for her. I have her G3 version as well.

For me it would be the perfume puffs. When I first got one in a lot years ago, my first thought was "poor pony- you have the worst case of frizz I've ever seen!" But they've really grown on me, probably because of Tuneful's beautiful pictures of them with their nicely poofed and styled hair. Unfaded Lavender Lace is my favorite of the bunch I think though Red Roses is a close second.

Hahaha-that's awesome-I may have to rethink my twinkle eyes! And they are my favorite group-

I didn't like BBE's but I got one, because it was a matching baby for an adult, I think it was Baby Heartthrob and I decided they weren't so bad. I ended up with a couple more, because I had the matching Moms. I also didn't care for blind bags at first. I got into ponyvilles when G3's were out and they're very similar. I have a couple blind bags now.

Dream Beauties, Crystaline, Morning Glory, Windsweeper, Sky Splasher and Glider. I barely knew they existed. Those Pegasus sure are stunning girls.

To be honest, I didn't really like the Sweetheart Sisters before because I thought they looked weird compared to the adult ponies, and the fact that they're supposed to be teen ponies was kind of weird because it doesn't look like they could even develop to be like regular adults (way too skinny). BUT, when I was looking through Strawberry Reef, I realized that they're extremely pretty and now I want a few of my own. I've also started to like the Winger ponies (their wings are awesome!) and the Flower Fantasy ponies, especially Flowerbelle.

The entire g1 line. I didnt even know g1 existed because by the time I was A kid mainly g3s were sold. (as far as I rmb I dun recall g2 s either)

But when I saw the diversity of g1s, I fell in love. So many to choose from! :ponylove:
