    Hi everyone! :)

The mods have been noticing quite a bit of spamming in the Want to Sell and Misc. for Sale subforums. Please remember that this is against the rules:

When multiple threads for the same purpose spam a forum, the moderators will merge them (and move them to the proper forum) without warning.

As with a violation of any of the rules, repeat offenses will lead to infractions. Multiple infractions automatically trigger a ban.

If you have accidentally made a double post, or a new one instead of an amendment to your existing thread, simply PM a moderator for help. :)

Thank you for your cooperation! :)

Can you guys make this reminder on the Auction board too?
  3. I notice a lot of people with 3 or 4 active threads in the sale forum. Shouldn't they have just one thread? I have also notice people with just 1 post posting in the sale forums.

If you see spamming that we have missed, you can always report it to a moderator. :)

We do not currently have a policy in effect for a required number of posts prior to selling, since some people come here simply to sell off their collections. It is up to the buyers in the forum to exercise their own caution and common sense when dealing with a new member who is selling. :)
  5. oh yeah but shouldn't they be on post number 2? Because their first post should be an intro post. That's what I was thinking of when I said that. :)

We don't have a rule in effect that makes it mandatory for people to post intros first, but it's something we're actually considering :)
  7. ah gotcha... it must have been in the past then because I thought there was a time when new members were required to post in the intros before they were allowed to post elsewhere.

Sorry, dumb newbie here, do you mean only leave one comment per thread in a row or don't start a new thread?

If you mean the first, apologies, I totally left like 4 comments in a row on a post yesterday. Won't do it again!

Hi there, welcome to the TP! :smilepony:

What we're concerned about is people making several separate threads for the items they want to sell. This takes up a lot of space on a forum page and makes the sales of others less easy to see. It can also be very confusing for a potential buyer.

Your comments within your thread are your prerogative, we just ask that you try not to 'bump' your thread until it has fallen off the first page. :winkpony:

Oh dear, I'm sorry, I've been doing it wrong! I wasn't bumping purposefully, just to add the photos. It's all up now, so I can stop! -E-
