Hello there! As I anticipated, I have a problem with stains of paint. My G3 Valenshy has been in contact with a wooden object painted yellow (I think it is natural paint, but who knows?) and the color has penetrated inside her legs... Here are the photos:

(I's quite hard to see, but it's more evident in reality)

I tried with hydrogen peroxide (it's a 40 volume oxidizing emulsion cream for human hair) but only on the stain in the first pic, and it has became a sort of 'halo'...
Moreover, my emulsion cream is quite old... Perhaps if I use a brand new cream I'll get better results?
I'm afraid to try sunfading, because a year ago this remedy has yellowed my Coconut Grove! (perhaps because of her vibrant color or a strange reaction with her perfume, being her a perfumed pony)
I don't know what's the best solution for a G3 pearlized/glitter body... Somebody can help me and poor Valenshy? :sadpony:

I would do a sun fading with hydrogen peroxide soak.
Simply leave your stained pony soaking in a clear container of Hydrogen Peroxide exposed to the sun. You can get Hydrogen Peroxide in the pharmacy section of any store. The amount of time you need to leave the pony soaking will vary by the amount of sunlight in your area. Peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen quickly when exposed to sunlight, so you may need to change the solution when it's necessary to leave a pony soaking for long periods of time. This can often be used with ponies who will burn during regular sunfading.

Here’s the website for it. ;)

Thank you! I already know this site, it's very useful! But this treatment seems too exaggerated to me, also because my Valenshy is in near-mint conditions, and I wouldn't like to use treatments on her that could alter her conditions... I'm wondering if it's safe to expose stains to sunlight (maybe with an application of hydrogen peroxide cream) having the pony wrapped by paper towels and aluminum foil (as a way to protect her from sun)... Is this remedy advisable?

You can try it. I typically stay away from creams as I personally don’t trust them. I’ve been using this method for some time now and none of my ponies have been damaged.

That being said, I don’t collect G3, so I have not had a need to restore any to see if the effects are different on them as G1 vinyl is totally different.

So that's what happened with my Sunshower! Thanks for posting this. Yes unless you can get inside her, sun fading is you're best bet. Hope you can fix this!

Are you sure the yellow has penetrated inside your Valenshy? I ask because I’ve found that the pearlized G3s don’t absorb paint, marker, etc. nearly as easily as the ponies without the pearly coating. A Magic Eraser or, if need be, a little acetone on a Q-tip might be all you need to remove the paint.

I've already tried acetone, but I have not tried magic eraser... However, in the past I've never had good results with it. Yes, the color just seems to have penetrated the body and I have yet to try the sunfading + hydrogen peroxide combination. Thanks anyway for your advices! :satisfied:

That’s sad. Poor Valenshy! I hope the sunfading fixes her up.
