New pony room a work in progress

New update :)

Progress is slow but at least i have something new to post.

I went and bought the thin wood paneling for my ceiling, just that thin stuff that is not heavy that is colored light brown to look like wood grain. Plus i was lucky to find a can of paint in a pretty blue in the "bad mix" section of the hardware store for only 15 bucks, you know "bad mix" paint? it is the colors people ask for but do not want because it is not the right shade. There loss my gain LOL

i also bough other paint to make it look like clouds in the sky :) They look kind of weird on the ground like this but it will look better up on the ceiling.

I woke up really early this am to paint the panels outside before the rain started, thankfully the rain held off and i was able to get the panels back in the house. If i am lucky next week end i can get them up on my ceiling. until then i have to start moving all my pony stuff off the floor to make room to work.

Another weekend is here and that means there are more pony room updates.

We have put up the ceiling / sky in the pony room. we have also made the castle walls

I will need to repaint some parts of the wall and ceiling because of damage. Eventualy the sky will have 3d clouds, a 3d sun and maybe a rainbow
 
Oh wow, it looks amazing! It's a great idea to make the room look like dream castle! Wish I had that many ponies XD

thanks all :)

i intend to fill in all the joints showing on the ceiling, plus get trim up around the entire ceiling to.

i got to figure out how to do 3d clouds? should i make them out of painted foam? or cloth or cotton balls? any ideas guys ?


i agree this pony room is way better then any other room i have ever done before
 
You could do "hitch" stitches, like making a buttoned cushion without buttons on white pillows to make clouds.

You could use wire mesh and cover with plaster of paris strips, which would be more easy to make into shapes you want.

I think cotton balls would be a nightmare to keep clean from dust!
