So, I started a new job last week.

Mainly because I can’t live on what I’m getting from disability payments. My doctors suggested I try “something different.”

So I’ve gone from being an RVT to working for a travel agency.

Learning new tricks is very very tiresome for this old dog. Lol!! It’s been over 15 years since I’ve had to be up at 5:30am for work (in fact I used to work overnight/evenings). So this switch has me and my body like “what the heck!?!”

Then using my brain and learning new skills and stuff again. I’m gone for 12hrs a day and by the time I get home at night I (sometimes) eat dinner then I go to bed because I’m just exhausted. This sucks so much, I’m not sure how long I can do this for. Lol

You can do it! Hang in there! Starting something new is always rough at first but should get better over time. You'll get into the swing of it and then think of all the ponies you can buy with your extra dough!

How you're feeling is completely normal. Switching schedules and learning a bunch of new things is extremely tiring and it's takes time for your body and brain to adapt. But, hey, you might end up having some fun at work and you'll be able to scope out travel deals. Also, Gingerbread brought up the best point, you can buy ponies! Wait, you're already on that ;) It's going to be super rough on me when I start working again too. I've fallen out of any schedule.

Here's hoping this will be a lucrative challenge for you! Maybe after you adjust to the newness of it all, you'll fall into some comfortable rhythm!
