I have been looking at these ever since they came out, and finally today I bought one :)
She is dark purple with white and pink hair, and her name is Star Dasher.
I had a hell of a time opening hte box, without damaging it too much, then I had to use most of my kitchen inventory to get her off the plastic, why do they have to use 6 pieces of large tape, to keep her hair in place ?????????
Not to mention wrestling her feet out of the holes in the plastic bottom, I was afraid to break her :(
Then, finally I get her out, and I want to get that new pony smell, but she didn´t have it, she literally stinks...............
Then I want to feel her silky shiny new hair, only it is neither silky or shiny, it is dry, coarse and frizzy at the ends..............
If I got a pony like this in a trade, and had expected perfect hair, then I would be disappointed, but getting it in a new pony, I just don´t know what to feel....................
Not to mention the glue that has run from her neck down her one front leg, will have to try to get it off with something..............
Has anyone else had similar experiences with the G3 ponies ????

Ick..

Sorry, friend, I'm afraid most G3's are like that. It's sad that Hasbro's quality is so bad... try conditioning the hair, it might help! And the glue might be able to be taken off. Good luck!
