This has been finished for two months but here it is:
She was once a Rarity, but now she's Little Red Riding Hood!
Her base color is a warm lavender with violet shadows and yellow and pink highlights. I wanted her to look like she belonged in an impressionist painting. I finished her before I bought jars of regular gloss and matte mod podge, so she was sealed with dimensional magic which is very thick. If you look close, you'll see some brush strokes and bubbles because I didn't dilute it with water.
Her mane, tail, and the infamous hood were sculpted using Premier air-dry clay. It's not delicate, but it's sure not epoxy putty strong (finally got some of that by the way. Trying it out on a Nascar pony for my dad. I can post progress pictures if anybody wants to see them).
I sculpted the hair in layers. Laying out a base structure, letting it dry, and adding the various curly strands. After that I used a mini file to add further detail. If you look close you can see the blue shadows and yellow highlights.
The cape and the hood were also highlighted with yellow paint. I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I thought about giving her a wolf cutie mark, but instead I went with a basket of pastries like the one she took to her granny.
I'm thinking of maybe someday doing a retake on Red Riding Hood. But for now, here she is! My very first custom
