The book and paper are very nicely done, paint work is really neat.

Hair is very neat as well~ may use some trimming on the messier ends of the curls, where the hair just sticks/pokes out, just trim that right off is what I do

Over all the design is very spot-on. Wow.

@Night Fury she is for a special young lady I met on instagram and it is inspire by everything she loves... she an avid reader/writer and she loves wolves. She picked all the colors and I just added my artistic flare... she asked for a trailing cutie mark and it was my idea to make it 3-D and I decided to put White Fang on the cover of the book... wolf book!!! and he name is spelled in the letter mixed into the leg... my favorite part are her golden eyes they are soo pretty...she really doesn't have a great name for her... were open to suggestions

That is a very impressive first custom. Maybe what Lighting Silver Mana said about the curls. if you thin the paint out a little bit more you might get finer lines and a smoother paint job. But honestly, for a first custom, you are definitely on the right track! You seem to be using thin brushes and have a good control of your lines, so well done! And the design is amazing.
