My Autistic Son, please help

P.S. I love your passion too, Dancing Butterflies. It's a hard road being an Aspie parent, and I so appreciate your dedication to help him grow as a person and an artist. Kudos to you!

Thank you so much for that. Peter has no friends, and not much confidence. This past mothers day was how this all came about. My husband suggested to him recording some music for me at the studio. He agreed. Once the first video was published without him singing, just a picture of the studio, his confidence grew a little bit. Now we are able to get him to do the videos of him but a slow process. He is at peace when he sings, and I hope he can go some where with this because this is his strength and we need to build on this. Unless you have several people on twitter or face book its hard to get the videos noticed on youtube because it is so big and there is so much talent out there, but I will keep trying.

Thanks to all that have taken the time here to hear Peter sing.

As he grows older and more confident, I think Peter will begin to interact more and become friends with his peers. It's a struggle though, for both the Aspie and the parents.

I remember how heartbreaking it would be when my son told me he had no friends. Fortunately for him (for all of us!), he grew up in a rural community and as the children grew up around him (he went to a very small school and had the same group of kids around him his whole life), they quickly came to understand that he was different, but to my eternal gratitude, accepted him in spite of his differences. His progress has been slow in ways, but now that he has reached adulthood and has observed the behaviours of others, he's beginning to finally understand how to interact. He has friends and is starting college, online at first these some classes at the community college to ease him into the new situation.

With Peter's videos on the net, and the positive feedback he's receiving I hope he's able to reach out and make some friends. I know there are kids out there who would love to be friends with such a talented child. I'll be rooting for him (and you) every day!

That boy truly has the voice of a professional singer! I hope that, with support and encouragement, he will continue to sing and continue to improve. Best of luck!

Your son has real talent for singing! The way he enunciates and perfectly matches the tones is amazing. I posted a few words of encouragement through my fiance's youtube account. I hope he continues to sing and share his talent. I also hope he continues to find the courage to fight the daily battles that Asperger's presents. With such loving parents in his corner and words of encouragement from fans I bet he'll be able over come many challenges in life.
