Today I went out to a couple antique/thrift stores with my mom and I'm so glad I did because she actually spotted these two sweethearts for me!

Newborns Tattles and Tumbleweed! They are both in awesome condition. Tattles' tail is the silkiest G1 hair I've ever felt, oh my goodness.

I also found a G3 Sparkleworks plush with her tag:

And then just a 0.50 McDonald's Rarity I picked up at a thrift store ^u^

The babies are so cute! It's fun to find something when you go thrifting

Wow! Where do you live? I never find g1 ponies in the wild up here. Such cuties! Congratulations!

It so is! I've really taken a liking to the newborns. I mean I always thought they were cute in pictures but now that I have three of them myself I think those pics don't do their adorableness justice! Too cuuuute <3

Thank you! I live in Oklahoma, closer to Tulsa than Oklahoma City. For whatever reason there are very few pony collectors in OK, it seems. I've only met two others online. Kinda lonesome as far as conventions/meetups go, but at least I can find lots of ponies here! My mom (aka my constant thrifting companion who loves it as much as I do) suggested we go thrifting/antique hunting on Tuesdays. She thinks that most people who own booths at antique stores go look for finds over the weekend, bring them back and sort through everything on Mondays, so that would make Tuesdays the best time to check. I hadn't even thought of that but so far she seems to be onto something.

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't seen a G1 in the wild in like 10 years. Granted I haven't looked too hard, but I usually take a quick look at thrift stores and they are scarce to be found. I love the Sparkleworks too. She looks in excellent condition. Good find.

Oooh that Sparkleworks, though! I love me some pony plushies.

Huh, that's so strange. I find at least one practically every week here, and if not an actual pony, I find G1-related merch. Silly ponies, all of them must have high-tailed it here to Oklahoma (perhaps aspiring to join the rodeos lol...or maybe they like our pretty sunrises/sunsets).

Thanks, me too! She really is nice, aside from a little discoloration on the flipped side of her ear tag I actually can't find anything wrong with her.

Oh goodness, I love the plushies so much as well! I couldn't believe how nice she looked. I actually used to see these at arcades and amusement parks a lot as a kid and I always wanted one, but I could never win one. Sparkleworks was one of my first ponies too so it was neat to get this plush!

They're so cute! And in really nice shape too. Your mom has a keen eye. You have trained her well. :D

We're almost neighbors! I live in Fannin county Texas, just a mile from the Red River. I've only met (in person) one other OK gal, okiegirl. She's a very talented customizer and super nice. We had an east TX/Ok pony Meet a few years ago and met up in Tyler Texas. We even had a very delightful gal from Arkansas show up. Sadly, it was just a one time thingee. I thought about having a meet at my farm, but I worry about space and people with allergies (as I live on a cedar filled farm fulla stinky critters). I'd love to meet other Pony Peeps. I enjoyed the one meet so much. And I could never get the time off to go to a con, so I'm kinda just stuck. At least I have the forum here and all the bestest peeps are here!

Ooh that's so awesome! I haven't met that many Okie collectors online either, just a couple over on MLP Arena and the rest of the OK pony fans I'm met elsewhere are really only fans of G4/FiM. That's so neat to hear that y'all are so close! My dad is a trucker who currently works out of Texas (hard times for truckers, to be honest) so we really only get to see him if we drive down. My mom makes trips every month or so but generally my sister and I have to stay behind and take care of the farm unless we can get a sitter.

I really would love to go to or maybe host a meetup someday. We have a huge barn at the place we rent that we've mostly converted into a pseudo-karaoke bar/family space. We do have animals as well though - horses, chickens, cats and a dog, plus our hay is stored right off the barn so...probably not the most allergy-friendly location either, sadly. But I know sometimes people do meetups at parks and even malls (at least, for BJD stuff it was like that) so...maybe that at some point?
I'm probably going to attend a toy show in Oklahoma later on this year (it's this one here, just started in 2017 but it looks nice!) but I have no idea when else I'd be able to meet anyone. I live too far from any of the pony fairs/cons

But that is true! All the people on here are awesome :ponylove:
