How does this work?

The contest will run until February 15th. All you have to do to enter is post pictures of street signs that match a MLP name.
The pictures must be taken by YOU (so, don't think about googling them and using someone else's pictures).
Preferrably, you will take the picture of the street sign with a pony standing by/on it.
That will be extra proof that you are taking the photo. If you don't get a chance to get a pony by it, we will examine the photo closely.
No cheating here!
The pony you take a picture of by the sign does not have to match the street name. Any pony will do.
Pony friend names are more than welcome too.

There are some rules for pony names. For name that are complex, we will accept only the "basic" part of a name. For example:

Baby Romperooni -> We will NOT take "Baby Rd", but we WILL take "Romperooni Rd" (if anyone finds such a thing... wow!).

Same thing applies to other complex names.

I reserve the right to reject any photo entries if deemed invalid.



There will be 2 opportunities to win:
1. Whoever submits *the most* pictures.
2. People's choice. Everyone will vote on their favorite picture (for people's choice, whoever submits more than one photo must choose only one pic to enter in the voter's drawing).

I've said that there are street names around here that should be pony names. LOL!! Like Midnight Moon and Dawn Mist. =) I will have to look around here and see if I can find some real names now. Cute!!
 
I LOVE this idea. I can't wait to look for street signs like that. Pretty sure there aren't any like that in my area since most street signs around here are in french... I suppose you are looking for english signs, even more the challenge for me :)

You make a good point. If they are in French, they need to match the pony's French name. So whatever the pony's name was on the backcard (if in French) is what I'm looking for.

lol There's a Primrose in my city, but it's a REALLY bad part of the city, so I probably won't go take a picture with a pony in it there lol

I'll see what ones I can come up with in safe places lol
 
I feel like I'm just going to have to carry a pony around in my purse 'just in case'.

question!

what if it's the pony's name, but it's not spelled exactly the same... for example: meriwether instead of merriweather?

Lmao well I found one which im really proud of because its in a reaqlly rough area and taking my ponies to be photoed with it was pretty scary lol sending them to u peppermint xx

I was wondering that too Buddafly because there 2 more name of ponies which arent spelt correct but pronounced the same Id like to know the answer PT cos i might have to get the ponies out for some more photos lol

I know the feeling todlless. I've foudna few streets close by to me with pony names, it's just a case of getting there and daring to take a pony and a camera lol. Awesome contest though :D
 
Eee I am so excited to go out and try this! Do we post our pics here once we take them or PM you?

As for two part names I assume it doesn't count if you just get half the name IE Juniper Rd instead of Juniper Jade? Just wanted to make sure! Also, is it limited to strictly pony names or would pony friends count, like Spike Rd.

:yippie: YAY!!! I just found a street and it's right up the road from me even!! I will try to go out tomorrow and grab some shots! So excited!

this sound's like a ton of fun, but I'm not sure I can find a street sign or have a pony to match with it lol....

for instance I know where there's a place called Blossom Valley, but I don't own a blossom pony lol... see what I mean?? so I don't know if I could do the pony part of the picture taking.
