The leaves are changing color and dropping to the ground, there is a crisp scent in the air, and gourds are turning up everywhere... it's time for a fall coloring contest!

Who remembers the good ol' days when grocery stores handed out holiday coloring pages? Spending hours staring at that image on the page, trying to imagine how best to render your epic vision into a reality....

Join us in homage to those fun days of coloring by entering our contest

Digital Coloring - Download the file and color using Paint, Photoshop, or other program of your choice.

Traditional Coloring - Download the file and print to color with Crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, oil paints... pudding - whatever fulfills your artistic desire. Then scan/photograph and upload the image.

  • Contest Ends: November 11th by 11:59 PM EST.
  • Submissions must be sent via PM to CJFullmer
  • Member Voting: November 13th - 19th
  • Prize Mailed: November 210th

There are two files of the same image. You can print either of them for coloring. For those planning to digitally color, the .gif is for programs like MS Paint, and the .jpg is for layer-able programs like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, etc.

I loved to color and it's one of those things I never take time to stop and do, I'm gonna make myself take some time out for artistic fun! When I was a child I'd spend hours contently coloring! I actually have a little pony related coloring story. When I was a kid I got one of those coloring pages from the grocery store, cause I'm old and know exactly what you're talking about CJ, I colored my picture and I think it was some marketing gimmick where you were supposed to mail it back in for a prize. Of course I colored my picture and gave it to my Dad to mail for me and a couple weeks later he brings me a MLP and told me I won the coloring contest and they sent me this prize ;) Sweet Dad, I thought it was awful strange that it just so happened the prize was my favorite toy and nowhere did it say anything about the prize being a pony but hey, I was a child and I was given a new pony, wasn't asking many questions LOL I can even tell you which pony it was, Summer Wing pony "High Flyer" who I still have in my collection :) I'm gonna have to remind Dad about that next time I talk to him, I'd forgotten about that :D
 
I just don't think I can concentrate on this right now. My brain is fried right now on Astros Baseball games. I may need therapy.:D

Me too! What the heck was happening in that game last night! Crazy!! I was teaching late, so only got to listen to the last of the extra innings and I was like, what the what?! Checking the score on my drive home I was thinking they would drop another one. Then checked at home and turned on the radio and they were up! And then GAH!

They day before yesterday was even worse. I can't wait until this is all over. It has been making me crazy with anticipation. I have never seen baseball games like this ever.
 
We are getting in some great entries! Thanks to everyone who has already submitted. The rest of y'all need to step on it! Put those coloring skills to the test and get your creative juices flowing!! :winkpony:
