Anyway, I just got back from checking out the ornament craft isle at my local Michaels and I have a couple questions:
  • What is everyone's favorite colors for their Christmas Tree decorations?
  • Do you have a specific style of decoration for your tree (rustic, girly/lacy, vintage, angel themed, metallic, candy etc...) or is your tree really eclectic?
  • Do you have a Christmas Tree just for your ponies/pony room?

I used to have a tree for my pony room- I mean I still do but it's in storage as we are living in an apartment currently so we will just have one tree. I don't have a specific theme for the family tree, though the decorations tend toward the rustic spectrum with lots of natural ornaments, pinecone and acorn glass ornaments and homemade ornaments. It also has all the ornaments from my husband's childhood so there are a lot of dinosaurs on it LOL. My pony tree is candy/girly themed. It's so cute! I wish I had taken a picture of it when I had it up last year. I'd love to see anyone's christmas trees if they have pictures to post.

Question 1: What is everyone's favorite colors for their Christmas Tree decorations?

Answer: Traditional. I was raised with the traditional Christmas colors of Red, Green, White, Gold, And Silver, with the occasional Blue added. The other random colors that is now associated with Christmas colors, I don't feel is Christmas-y enough.

Question 2: Do you have a specific style of decoration for your tree (rustic, girly/lacy, vintage, angel themed, metallic, candy etc...) or is your tree really eclectic?

Answer: Yes! I do! I have two trees in my room, One has a theme of Rustic/ Natural Ornaments. The other a theme of Reindeer and Horses.

Question 3: Do you have a Christmas Tree just for your ponies/pony room?

Answer: To be honest I don't have a pony room yet? And I don't have very many pony ornaments ( for I have only 1 ) do to they are hard to get in my area. So no I don't have one for my ponies ^^;

  • What is everyone's favorite colors for their Christmas Tree decorations? Purple is my favorite color, but my tree tends to be full of colors in general.
  • Do you have a specific style of decoration for your tree (rustic, girly/lacy, vintage, angel themed, metallic, candy etc...) or is your tree really eclectic? Really eclectic.
  • Do you have a Christmas Tree just for your ponies/pony room? Yes, it's a small purple one only about a foot tall, so only teeny tiny things can fit on it. My living room tree is monstrously big, though.

Hello fellow ornament creators!!!!

For my partner/s I would love g3 ponies
I'm pretty traditional when it comes to Christmas...I would love to recived ornaments with winter gear even winter ponies. I have worked very hard to collect purple ponies and any pony with a CUP/COFFEE/TEA cutie mark.. as well as creativinty ones like sew n sew frilly frocks dibble dabble toola roola as they are my favorite things Being creative while enjoying a cup of coffee. I love Christmas so custom ponies you create that have a holiday theme in winter wear would be awesome.

Snacks your good to go with peppermint Id also love andes mints that chocolate orange thing... Christmas candy youll be good

Rustic/ nature, eclectic mix, sparkly things, stained glass-y things

Yep, they have their own tree now :p ( a small one )
 
A wishlist.... Hmm....

G1: Mimic, Paradise, Shady and any princess ponies
G2: I'm not sure... I kind of steered clear of that line.
G3: Snow 'El 2, Rainbow Dash, any of the Cascade Cuties (I think that's what they're called...?)
G4: Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Celestia, Luna, Cadence

My OC is in my signature below (her symbol is a computer), and my favorite colors are orange and blue.

Candy likes: Reeses cups and pieces, anything chocolate. Skittles, Starburst, York Patties, chocolate covered cherries, snickers, peppermint candies.

Candy Dislikes: Coconut, Spearmint, nuts (other than peanuts and almonds, which I like in chocolate)... also, no sticky candy like caramels or taffy. It's not that I don't like those, but my dental work doesn't like them. Sad for me! :(

I love anything to do with Christmas, and became "Frozen"-addicted over the summer. Love Christmas scents, however they come... candles, incense, etc. I always use a smaller tree (not floor to ceiling). I love horses, and have recently gotten back into watching a childhood favorite show in Mr. Ed. I have three cats and a chihuahua. :) I also collect angels, ladybugs, and anything with the word "hope" on it.

I love any colors.... my current tree is white with multicolor lights, but that may change this year. I may downsize, depending upon the cats and what I want to do. lol......

I actually have a memorial tree. Meaning, I put up ornament frames of loved ones no longer with me so that I can enjoy the holidays with them in my heart. But I have other small ornaments as well....they range from those with names of family members to just little trinkety ornaments I find. This year, I'd like to try and find some Frozen ornaments.... although I think I'd be lucky to do so due to its popularity.

I wish I had a pony room, but my memorial tree is located in my bedroom. My grandma has a tree in the main part of the house. Same size.

I almost forgot! Please, no glass or otherwise easily breakable ornaments if possible.... my cats LOVE my tree. As it is, some of my word ornaments that are plastic have ended up broken. (I don't know how, but they're awful! Bad kitties!) The ornaments that will be made will be placed in a special spot, though.... but just in case.

I've sketched mine out, but until I redo some ATCs and a gift for a board member, it's as far as I've gotten. I better speed up!
 
I can't find a special item I need to make an ornament. I would change my idea but it fits to well. I've been all over Mid FL to find it and no luck. At this point I'm more likely to find a MOC Mimic :lolpony:
 
Aw, thank you! *hugs* I'm going to go out again this weekend and try my hardest to find it (I'd say what it is but it would totally give the surprise away :lolpony:)
 
Hmm, should I use eye of newt or witches brew to make this creation....

I like the traditional winter/christmas colors of red/green, silver/gold, blue/white, ect

Not really a specific style, I just like things that are pretty or unique. To be honest, most of the stuff found in walmart, ect I find very...UGLY. I like more old school decorations

I found my special item today along with some pony goodies :D The first ornament turned out amazing. Now I'm trying to make the other two and it's going horrible. Lets just say I have super glue in my ear and what appears to be a pooping pony. Back to the drawing board!
 
Pooping Ponies might be very popular with someone! Think of all the pooping toys we see. There could be someone right now, reading your post thinking, "Oh, how I long for Moondream's Dump Pony."
