(Mods, please feel free to move this if it should be in a different forum!)

About 2 weeks ago, I got the third section of my pony sleeve done. It was started about 1 year ago, and many of you probably remember seeing it, if you were at the '08 Fair in Rhode Island.
Here's the latest addition, on the inside of my arm. The pic looks blurry, but I just can keep my left hand steady enough for a crisp, clear pic.

Both pony figures are taken from this screen cap (but obviously the characters were changed):

Kristel, my artist made this awesome collage of what we've got so far:

Kristel lives several states away, but she has a busy travel schedule attending tattoo conventions all over the US & occasionally over-seas. This work was done at the Baltimore tattoo convention. I also had the honor of being photographed for a magazine, so I'm keeping my fingers cross that my work might end up in print.

It's still a work in progress. I'm going for a full sleeve, with sea ponies & an underwater theme from my elbow down. With my artist's travel schedule, we can only work on it every couple months, but that totally helps with the costs involved.

nooo wayyy that is so DOPE!!!!!
major kudos to you for yoru bravery ;) and your artist for a smashing job!!!

I remember seeing the first part of your tattoo before . . . It's absolutely gorgeous! So true to the original special's style. Hands down the best MLP tattoo I've seen, kudos to the artist! :)

That is so cool! Does she go to the philly tatoo convention too? I'm guessing she does (you should get work done when she goes there so I can see it lol). I'm so jealous. Fab work. I can see why she's worth waiting for. I know that hurt on the inside of your arm too haha

It's Bubbles! :478: Incredible work! I'd love to see it in person.

That's awesome! ^-^ What a nice job she's done on it so far - great work. :040:

Oh wow, huge congrats! Your tattoo artist really brought the mlp's to life.

How long did it take you to find the perfect artist to do your sleeve?

Looks great! Can't wait to see the rest.

Whooooooa!! That's so gorgeous! It must've hurt a lot! If I ever got a tattoo I'd want a really cool one like yours!

Yes, she will be at the Philly convention. Her name is Kristel Oreto, although she might be listed with Crimson Anchor in the guide book. I got the first part done in Baltimore Feb '08, the second in Philly April '08, and the third in Baltimore just 2 weeks ago. I don't know if I'll have the money to get a fourth part done in Philly since the dates are much closer this year, but if you're going to the Philly convention, I totally recommend saying hi to Kristel.

Thanks for all the compliments, everyone! :humble:

(soirry for the double post, but I can't figure out how to quote 2 people within the same reply.

Years! I've been talking about getting this done for a long time (maybe since 2001 or 2?), but I never found someone with the right style that was interested in doing it. I was very lucky to finally meet an artist who was as excited about the idea as I was, lol!

If I make it this year , I'll definately try to find her. The person who did baby glory on my back goes to the convention too. He's from the Ink Well

that is amazingly gorgeous! i love the way your artist did the colors, without any heavy dark lines, like a painting...i would love an mlp tattoo, but like you said it's so hard to find someone who seems to have the right style...it's gonna be there forever, it better be perfect right?! like yours =)

it's beautiful,the color is amazing
