Missing people

I find myself missing more and more people who have become inactive or less active. I know they all have reasons. Just sad to see them so little or not at all.

I agree.
I just woke up from dreaming about an old college friend.
When I dont remember or know their last name consequently can't find them online, I wonder what people have done with their lives.

Or did you mean you miss people posting online here?

Mostly I meant this forum in particular. It's great to have lots of new collectors, I just miss the originals, too.
It does apply to others, too, though.

Yeah it would be more fun if there were people posting more often or former members were to return.

Yeah, there are some, a select few, people from the board that I miss as well and have occassionally thought about throughout the years. There are a few others (who had driven me away) that I obviously dont miss at all (slightly still intimidated at the thought of them stirring up trouble which seems to be fun/entertainment for them).

Hmm...
You could send her another card, the first could have been lost in the mail or misplaced or what not.

Perhaps a Thinking Of You card would be appropriate...

I completely relate to this. So many of our good friends no longer frequent the boards. Having come and gone myself a few times, I know that life can just get too full, and too stressful to have time for online friends and even the hobbies we enjoy. I really enjoy all the newer members we have and know this will always be a welcoming place. But yes. I miss those good friends I made when I very first joined.

All of the above. Back in the day we had a "chat room" that several of us would sit in for hours chatting and visiting. We became a pretty close knit group for a while because we shared so much of our daily time. Because I have moved around the country so many times, I actually have gotten to meet three of that group of TP friends, which has been very cool.

Back when I was most active (before being driven/intimidated away) I would often (a couple times a year) see meet ups and conventions listed.

Just wondering, where do you live and how did your meet ups go?

I live in boring Alabama we never have meet ups. So sadly I have never meet other pony people.

Yeah 1 on 1 meet ups are a lot different than conventions, and big group meet ups...

No I said I love to meet some of my friend in person I think you mean a person a few post above me. Never met anyone on here but I have spoken to a few friends on here via phone a few time and texted a few other friends

If there are Conferences or Conventions (and other Trading Post Members announce that they plan on going), then you maybe able to meet others...

Otherwise the only options are what you've already done.

Do people have Meet Ups on the board?

Years ago there constantly were meet ups and throughout the year there would be 1 or 2 that I could travel to.

I know sadly I am a lonely rarity collector who has no one in her state that has meet up or if they do close enough to go to.

I, too, haven't met any pony friends in person. There recently has been a pnw pony meet, but, with my social anxiety, I don't know if I could. There's several people I would absolutely love to meet. The md pony meet sounds a-maz-ing!

@Sunkissed I have to take psychological breaks sometimes from feeling scared or intimidated away sometimes. I had a bad experience elsewhere. I just love the people here so much. I won't let myself completely disconnect for more than a week. Even my psychologist says that this group sounds awesome.

So weird that you mentioned @tulagirl. I recently had a strange dream about the forum here and she was in it (among others).

Ive only been active here in recent years but have been a long time stalker of the MLPTP. I am fortunate enough that I have made life long connections here with some fabulous people and it’s because of this I hold everyone here near and dear to my heart.

I too wish I could go to the MD Pony meetup. So bad but I know I can’t do the 8.5hr drive on my own. @Cactusflower I wish you could come home and go on another pony roadtrip where we talk MLP for the entire drive again!!
