TRADES ARE CLOSED INDEFINITELY please do not ask for trades

There are reasons I have to keep trades closed aside from being a greedy artist!
Here's a list:

1. I used to accept trades as a beginner artist, and found out quickly I couldn't afford them!

2. Not being able to afford to do trades results in over-draft statements on my bank account! Dx

3. this hobby pays for itself~ all materials I buy for customizing ponies, comes from my commissions and sales, and keeps me going!

4. everyone would be unhappy with me if I did accept all their trades, cause I'd never ship anything out due to lack of shipping funds/inability to order hair and I'd be in trouble and $90+ owed over-draft fees to my bank.

5. Although I did keep my childhood stash of generation 1 ponies and I add to it as I browse
thrift stores and swap meets locally, I am not a active collector seeking collector ponies online. Having extra ponies is nice, but kinda pointless as I do not resell. They'll just take up space in my home as I may or may not do anything with them eventually. So I prefer to keep this collection rather untouched.

So with this list in mind, I ask people to understand where I'm coming from, and respect what I do~ support my talent and my family by buying my works!

pinkie_pie_by_lightningsilver_mana-d7xfo6p.jpg

Custom pony if 4th generation Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic re-designed as a figure from a generation 1 base in a candy dress theme.

Pose is engineered from two different generation 1 ponies.

Body repaint started with a layer of Gesso for the paint job, then several layers of pink acrylics.
Eyes enlarged in my eye enlargement method, then painted in my realism/anime-fusion style.

Mane and tail re-rooted in light pink mohair that I dyed with fuchsia Rit Dye.

Outfit- started with the leggings. Two layers of two different shades of pink fish net material. Shoes are powder blue bias tape, beige leather for the soles, then lined with powder blue silk ribbon. White vinyl bands at the tops with strips of white leather detail on the backs.

Pleated wide magenta lace with pale yellow nylon material for the dress layers, then double layered off-white lace at the mid-drift. Pale pink polka dot lace, medium pink bias tape and orange silk ribbon layered with some beads strung on floral wire. 3-D balloon cutie mark to finish. Blue & white striped cotton material for the sleeves, hemmed with some antique white lace with some pale pink bows on the outsides, beads strung on floral wire for bracelets on one front leg.
Neck collar piece is the off-white wide lace with pale pink bias tape stitched along the bottom, a necklace of beads that spell out “Pinkie” with pink bows on each end to finish.

Hair accessories are a magenta polka dot bow, rainbow bow and strings of beads on floral wire. The yellow beads are lemons and I painted stripes on the large circular beads to make them look like candy~ o3o

gothic_lolita_snuzzles_by_lightningsilver_mana-d93vs43.jpg

Pony base is a generation 3 shy pose. Coated head and body in Gesso to give a texture for the paint to bond to. Full body repaint job in pale gray acrylic paint, eyes painted in Snuzzle’s blue eye color, in my realism/fusion style.

All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish. Finished the eyes with black, blue, gold and magenta rhinestones.

Mane & tail are re-rooted in dollyhair’s saran Barbie hair in the color sugarless gum pink, and nylon mlp hair in the colors dusty rose and love potion.

Mane tied up in 2 buns with bangs styled in my permanent hair gel method. Wired some bead work to detail the mane.

Glued down 11 pale pink rhinestone hearts on both flanks for Snuzzle’s cutiemark.

Outfit- Started with the corset. Used some pale black and pink floral and stripe material, stitched transparent black ribbon and pleated ruffles around the hem.

Front leg sleeves- made 3 layers of white lace and stitched stripes of black velvet along tops, more black velvet across the chest and around the back of the neck. Stitched pink ribbon and pale pink heart buttons to detail. Made 2 layers of pearls in varied lengths, stitched them together then stitched them to a cameo broach, stitched into place on front chest.

Stitched black lace on hind legs, then pleated ruffles from a green and white striped ribbon, lined it with white heart lace and strings of beads and skulls attached to the transparent black ribbon.

Dress train- made 3 layers of matching pale black and gray floral and feather printed fabric, pleated the tops and lined the bottoms with burgundy cobweb lace trim. Lined the sides with the white heart lace with pieces of larger white lace on the bottom sides, then pleated black mesh lace material for a nice large stretch of ruffles along the bottoms. Also repeated this on the shoulders of the sleeves.

Stitched 3 transparent black ribbon bows on it, tied a wide black ribbon bow on the tail then finished it off with 3 rhinestone hearts.

Custom generation 4 figures of Princess Amalthea from The Last Unicorn in both equin and human forms.

Both figures are crafted from generation 4 figures, a princess pony for the unicorn and an Equestria Girls doll for Amalthea’s human form.

Unicorn- boiled the g4 princess pony to easily slice off the wings and head. Drilled holes in the back and on back of legs and cut triangles from the front of the hooves for accurate detail.

Made a tuft of hair for the tail tip, and re-rooted the mane, back and fetlocks with dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors arctic frost, raincloud, custom blended diamond and blizzard then saran Barbie hair in the color heartless pale blue.

DO NOT DISPLAY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME

Like synthetic hair, colored leather is prone to sun-fading. This figure has a lot of dyed purple authentic leather work, with natural-colored bear/acorn-colored leather. Even natural bear/acorn can fade to a very pale cream.

The mask is natural white leather.

This figure stands 11 inches tall, 14 inches wide

(is larger than the original collector Yojimbo vinyl figure.)

Custom figure of the summon Valefor as seen in the Playstation 2 video game Final Fantasy X

Pony base used for this figure is 2 different fakies. Used the body from a large bulky fakie, cut all 4 of the legs off, set the front 2 legs aside, and re-attached the hind legs after making thighs from purple leather structured with thick wire. Painted the attached feet in purple acrylic paints, hand-stitched white talons on the feet, wrapped neutral purple hemp cord around. Cut long triangles of purple leather and stitched varied textures of purple ribbon around for over-top the feet.

Body has a base coat of orange acrylic paint, head has a deep red.

Head is from a Strawberry Shortcake horse, because that was the only type of horse around that had a nice high neck that arched the face forward.

Painted glowing green eyes for contrast, then crafted Valefor’s mask from white leather, painted appropriate details for it in acrylic paints, and stitched the horns from bear/acorn-colored leather and painted details.

He has a lower-mane rooted for a white ponytail- rooted with white wool I purchased from my local county fair via wildwoolfarm.blogspot.com

The wool is very soft.

Uppermane has brown and varied red feathers glued down, thighs has purple feathers, and flanks have the varied red feathers glued in place with 2 strips of the bear leather.

Tail- made a structure of thick wire that goes into the pony, and has individually cut/stitched pieces of purple leather layered in pieces.

Torso- Glued down an orange webbed mesh trim, glazed metallic yellow gold over top. Added two strips of bear leather and detailed in same gold acrylics.

Fastened gold faux vinyl for the chest plates, lined it with strips of bear leather, detailed with light brown hemp cord, put cream feathers overtop for varied texture.

Mini wings are stitched from acorn-colored bear leather, painted in varied red/gold acrylics with a painted mesh over top the base with 3 stripes of leather wrapped around. Finished with a 3-ringed silver trinket with a nice amber-colored bead with a red leaf on top wired to the rings.

Wings- drew them out on card stock for a pattern. Cut the pattern into pieces, and traced them out on purple leather. Stitched all the pieces together. Trimmed down the pattern for the inner yellow-piece, trace it out and fastened to the purple. Painted orange and cream shading on the yellow inner layer, added thick wires to structure. Lined the area with strips of bear leather, detailed with orange and brown hemp cording. Top layer of the purple wings have a painted purple webbed lace to add texture, with 2 colors of purple hemp cord.

Bought a silver display stand from Michaels to hang him on to keep him up~

G3 Princess Pristina

g3_princess_pristina_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9czgpv.jpg

Generation 3 remixed custom of the generation 1 My Little Pony Princess Pristina.

Pony base is a generation 3 pony with generation 4 princess wings.

Coated entire pony in Gesso then did full body repaint in teal acrylics.

Painted eyes in Pristina’s purple color in my style/methods.

Took out the original hair of the pony, set it aside and make plugs out of the teal portion with tinsel in it, for the tinsel bangs the original pony has. So re-rooted the bangs in the recycled hair, then the rest of the mane and the tail with electric banana nylon mlp hair.

Added green hair clip extensions from Claire’s.

Cutie mark- started with a square base of gold vinyl. Stitched some gold rope trim along the edges, did a dusting of pink glitter acrylics over top. Glued down large brown square rhinestones, also coated them in a over-layer of pink glitter acrylics.

Put blue rhinestones in the middle with painted green rhinstones surrounding.

Made the wand from a tooth pick, bead, large star rhinestones and small pink circle rhinestones, glued it all together and painted everything magenta with pink glitter acrylics over top.

Crown is cut from gold vinyl, painted in a light medium pink gloss acrylic, twined some pink hemp cord for the bottom liner and added pink rhinstones. Embellished it in more rhinestones because it wouldn’t be my design without it.

Stitched sleeves for all her legs from a light aqua mesh skirt material, with a offwhite sheer material underneath. Some ribbon and rhinestone detailing.

Glued down some flat back antique stones on her chest, then made a necklace and attached it on each side of the stones, embellished with rhinestones and some more gold rope.

Perfume Puff geisha red roses
----SOLD----
By Traveling Pony Museum

http://www.travelingponymuseum.com/

perfume_puff_geisha_red_roses_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9djqkd.jpg

Another creation lovingly hand-crafted by me~

Generation 1 My Little Pony Perfume Red Roses crafted as a generation 3 custom pony figure redesigned in a geisha theme.

Body is an engineered pose, head of a unicorn and body of one of the 3-D symbol ponies.

Coated the entire figure in Gesso to give a textured base for acrylics to bond to, then did a full body repaint job in lemon chiffon acrylics. Eyes painted in the colors of the original pony, but in my personal anime/realism-fusion style. Cheeks are dry-brushed for blush. All paint sealed in Artists Varnish.

Cutie mark- is a green floral antique glass bead with a transparent pink bead and a pink pearl bead wired together. Cut pink hemp cord and shaped it for the perfume sprays and glued everything down in Jeweler’s glue.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in soft pink yarn. I unraveled it, each yarn strand provides 4 individual locks for hair. Glued the roots inside of the head, and brushed out the yarn to poof it up.

Outfit- Started with the basic geisha robe. Cut and hand-stitched from a powder blue fabric with a light sheen and a star pattern. Pleated a piece of shimmery brownish pink fabric for one side of the body.Added tassels and beads with a vine of fabric leafs and some braided hemp cord detail.

Layered a rainbow of ribbons for the neck collar, with 2 neutral colors of braided hemp cord to complete the look. Aqua and lavender ribbons tied on the sleeves.

Hair accessories- noticed in a pic of the original Red Roses, there was a cute light aqua hair clip of a bird on a flower. So I got out a gold flower pendant that resembled it, and a craft bird. Bonded them together, with Jeweler’s glue, then painted them light aqua.

Rest of the beads, I carefully planned out and strung on wire, some are mounted onto toothpicks then pinned into the hair. Most beads are antique glass/shell beads from the 1920’s, some are newer plastic beads I found at craft stores.

Tied white fabric leafs in the hair to finish.

Complete set of generation 3 custom figures of the generation 1 My Little Ponies- Mommy Apple Delight, Daddy Apple Delight, and Baby Apple Delight, hand-crafted by me, in a autumn theme.

~~~FOR SALE AS A SET ONLY for $85.00~~~
Send me a message if interested: main method of payment is PayPal
autumn_apple_delight_custom_pony_family_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9e4jg2.jpg
Large orange leafs with transparent pumpkins and painted fox are included in this sale.
Mixed and matched various heads and bodies from white generation 3 adult ponies. The head on Daddy Apple is actually a generation 3 fakie head, but is on a donkey pose body. Mom’s pose is all original, I think.
Baby Apple has a pony base of a generation 3 baby.
Coated all 3 of their heads and bodies in Gesso then gave them all white full body repaint jobs. Eyes are painted in the colors of the original ponies, but have feathery lashes from my personal style.
TAF body cutiemarks are hand-painted by me, all paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mommy Apple’s mane & tail are rooted in strawberry mousse nylon mlp dollyhair, her exact match. Styled with a curling iron and hair dryer.
Daddy and Baby Apple Delight are rooted in doner hair from other ponies in my bait box.
Daddy Apple has frost bite white RetrodollUS hair rooted along his feet for his fetlocks. Wasn’t easy to do this, but I managed to put Tacky glue inside his feet to secure the plugs from the inside, then I glued down the fetlocks in place and hardened them in my hair gel method to give them accurate shape.
Tied green bows on all their tails to match, and hand-crafted strings of autumn-themed beads on floral wire as embellishments for their hair.
Dancing Butterflies Forest Fairy
---SOLD---
Message me if interested, main method of payment is PayPal
forest_fairy_dancing_butterflies_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9f1ats.jpg
Custom pony figure hand-crafted by me, of the generation 1 My Little Pony Dancing Butterflies, craft/redesigned as a generation 3 figure in a remixed forest fairy theme.
Pony base is an engineered pose of a body from a g3 ugly pose, head from a different standing pose, wings cut from a Pegasus and put on a non-pegasus body.
Coated the entire figure in Gesso to prep a base texture for the acrylics to bond to.
Full body repaint in lemon yellow acrylic paints, with base layers of hand-blended acrylics that were a toned down neutral yellow.
Eyes painted in my realism/fusion style, but in Dancing Butterflies’ original color. I painted the butterflies throughout her body/forehead, carefully.
All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane & tail are rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the color lemonade.
Hair is lightly styled with a curling iron to give it shape and flair.
Accessorizing: started with the hind legs. Stitched stockings from a cloudy pale brown cotton fabric, Hemmed the tops with a pale neutral green bias tape and pleated a tan webbed material. Stitched beads on.
Stitched a small pleat of green beaded scarf material and placed it behind the wings.
Then got out various colors of browns and green hemp cording, twisted them together, and brushed on light coats of mod podge to harden them. Once Mod Podge dried, I twisted them into their permanent shapes and fastened them to pony as vine detail up a front leg and in the hair.
Wrapped some green leaf trim up the leg, across the chest and around a wing, over some green web trim underneath, across the chest.
Added a few strings of beads on the leg.
Wreath crown- Started with the twisted vines and green leaf trim, then made a few strands of leaf, flower and shaped beads on floral wire, twisted them into the crown.
Pinned in back of head, added a few faux leafs on top of the head to finish.
Harley Quinn Custom pony
----SOLD---
I finished this custom on my birthday, so I signed the bottom of her hoof with my birthdate on it~
I would not recommend displaying this in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time, as the dye jobs in the hair for sure would likely fade.
harley_quinn_custom_pony_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9fvf2x.jpg
Saw a friend on Facebook sharing images of Harley Quinn and I was very intrigued by this particular outfit, so I decided to make a custom of her~
Pony base is a generation 4 Fashion Style-sized Rarity. I cut off her horn and now have a giant severed pony horn in my arsenal of severed pony parts.
Coated the head and body in Gesso to give a texture for the paint to bond to.
Full body repaint in antique white acrylic paint.
Eyes painted in my own realism/fusion style, tried to capture Harley’s expression and make them work with the pony eyes.
Made Rarity’s eyes shorter and wider for Harley’s expression. Kinda redid the entire eye shape to do this.
Painted Harley’s leg tattoos on the flanks of Rarity, painted Rarity’s diamond cutie mark black for Harley’s diamonds.
Painted Harley’s red and black diamond tattoo on pony’s front right leg.
All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail are re-rooted dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the color white chocolate. I dyed the tips of one half ot he hair in fuschia Rit Dye, and the other side in blue Rit Dye.
Used my hair gel method for the curls in the pigtails to clean up the look.
Purchased a baseball bat from craft store for her bat, and painted it, glued black hemp cord to detail and glued white ribbon wrapped around the handle.
Outfit, started off with the shoes-
Crafted from real white leather, used leather puncher for hand-stitched details, painted black detailing in acrylic paint, pinned red leather for the soles, lined the soles with black ribbon.
Used faux black vinyl on the backs.
Tights are a black fishnet I hand-stitched.
Front leg accessories- Started with the spike bracelets. Hand-stitched spikes onto faux black vinyl, pinned in place. Fastened a white leather under-sole for the red glove, did some blue, gray and black carefully painted detail for the glove then hemmed the top of it with black maxi piping, stitched the other set of spikes to that.
White under-shirt- stitched one sleeve from some pale blue dyed cotton material I used on a older Rhinoa Heartilly custom. Traced it onto another piece of plain white cotton material for the other sleeve, then stitched red ribbon strips in place for Harley’s stripe details.
Stitched a coral red piece for the top of the shirt, then stitched a triangular piece for the front chest from the plain white cotton material, stitched the pieces together then hand-painted “Daddy’s Lil’ Monster” on the front.
Did a last long rectangular piece for the bottom of the shirt, then crafted the gun holster.
Took a strip of black faux vinyl with round metal pieces on it, and crafted the gun pouch from black leather, then the gun handle from white leather and detailed the piece in rhinestones.
Next, crafted the necklace. Got out letter beads that spell out “PUDDIN”, clipped off the tops of them that strung them on to other necklaces, then painted them in beige and gold acrylics. Glued them onto a strip of white leather with Jeweler’s glue.
Shorts- Cut the red half from a faux red vinyl that has flecks of gold in it, and the blue half from another shiny faux material and hand-stitched the pieces together.
Belt is a strip of faux black vinyl with rhinestones glued in place, then painted silver the buckle is a large square painted rhinestone.
Jacket- Cut half from the same red faux vinyl with the gold flecks, and the blue half from a nice blue material. Stitched gold stripes down the sleeves, then hemmed the bottom, neck and sleeves with wide red ribbon folded over. Did the tiny white stripe details by gluing down white hemp cord.
Hand-painted the writing on the back of her coat, that reads “Property of Joker, Puddin Freaky Style, since 4ever”
I did modifications from the original coat to make it fit and work for a pony coat.
Finished the piece off by making the coat removable by stitching snaps on the bottom inner sleeves.
holiday_paradise_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9goak9.jpg
Custom pony figure of the generation 1 pegasus pony named Paradise, hand-crafted by me as a generation 3 custom figure in a Holiday Christmas theme.
This is custom #2 of my holiday series.
Pony base is a engineered pose from two different generation 3 ponies.
Body coated in Gesso to create a texture for the acrylic paints to bond to, and full body paint job in white acrylics.
Cutie mark and eyes are also hand-painted in my style. Other painted details on this are the striped beads I made look like candies.
All paint work is sealed in Artists Varnish.
Wings are cloth wrapped over wire, I had them in a package in my art supplies. Can’t remember where they came from, but figured no better use for them, than now. They are pinned in place, with a dark green star rhinestone in the middle.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp hair in the color firebird, an exact match for the original g1 Paradise mlp.
I curled the hair and permanently gave it shape with my hair gel method.
Accessories- started fastening a festive-colored sash around the belly/back, and fastened silver ornaments around the bottom.
Then, came up with a wreath-like accessory for around the neck. Started off with a twisted rope trim textile, and stitched a thin line of neon green faux fur along the bottom. Tied a triple-layered ribbon/bow around the neck of metallic pink ribbon and burgundy thin ribbon. Took a cherry trinket I made when I was a teenager that I’ve kept all these years, and fastened it with a large gold bell and a green/white striped candy bead I crafted and pinned them on the wreath around where the bow is. I then cut off tiny sections of red/green strings of ornaments, and fastened them in place. Made two strings of beads and fastened them in place on each side.
Stockings- got out a oriental pale aqua material and stitched some of the neon green faux fur along the tops, then folded over wide red/white striped ribbon along the tops. Did a running stitch with the pieces inside out, then turned them right side in, put them on the pony’s hind feet then stitched darker green bows with tiny silver bells in place. Tied a darker green ribbon/bow on tail for contrast.
Made two strings of beads on floral wire for the hair embellishments (consisting of seashells, neon beads and fruit), then pinned the remaining two striped candy beads I crafted into place, then a small strip of gold star string of ornaments, some layered confetti, rhinestones along the hairline then a large silver bow in the back, to finish.
molasses_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9hchtb.jpg
Pony base is custom engineered pose from two different generation 3 ponies. Body of a diva pose, head of a standing pose
Entire head and body has a base coat of Gesso to provide a texture for the acrylic paint work to bond to.
Full body repaint in coral red acrylics, gingerbread man cutie mark also hand-painted, eyes painted in my realism/fusion rainbow style in Molasses’s original colors. Paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail re-rooted in nylon mlp hair in the colors white chocolate and blueberry muffin.Curled and permanently hardened in my hair gel method so it stays in shape forever.
Bodily accessories-
Started with the cream and gold star piece around the neck. Stitched, then pleated a green scarf material and stitched it to the cream piece. Put a line of silver ornaments around it. Made pale aqua sleeves to go underneath it, stitched from a nice silk material, cream lace hemming the sleeves. Pale green bias tape fastened for the chest piece, a string of gold star ornaments across the chest, red ribbon bow stitched then tied in place with pink pom poms stitched at the ends. Stitched red and green ribbon bows on each side.
Hind leg warmers- Stitched together 4 layers of bias tape in the colors neon red, pale tan brown, pale aqua and chartreuse. Pleated a side magenta/white polka dot ribbon at the top, stitched in place. Made candy canes from red leather and white/green hemp cord and tied a aqua bow behind it and put it on the cutie mark side with a light blue star rhinestone to finish. Other side has light brown paper craft gingerbread men, and a few rhinestones.
Tail ribbon is vaguely the original colors of Molasses’s tail ribbon but I layered more colors in and made a yellow lollipop from a clear yellow bead and yellow toothpick.
Mane- started with putting red and green shiny paper craft stars in her hair then building on that. Tied in some festive ribbons here and there, hand-crafted candies, lollipops and candycanes. Beads are painted stripes, and I tied ribbons to look like candy wrapping. For lollipop,took a cream colored round bead and glued a toothpick for the stick then wrapped transparent blue plastic around it then tied in place with green hemp cord. Candy cane is exactly same method as the one I made below the cutie mark. Added a couple more paper craft gingerbread men, and festive rhinestones on her forehead to finish.
:xmastree2::glitterball2::flutter2:Sister Stockings:rudolph::holly::snowflake::CJ:
Generation 3 custom of generation 1 pony Baby Stockings, but this is crafted from an adult-sized pony so I call this “Sister Stockings”. Could be thought of as a older sister to Baby Stockings.
----SOLD----
sister_stockings_by_lightningsilver_mana-d9igwky.jpg
Pony base is an engineered pose with a body of a core 7 clone pose, head of a different pose. Left original body color on both pieces.
Mane and tail are re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the color candy apple, exact match for generation 1 Baby Stockings.
Eyes and cutie mark hand-painted by me in my own style. Eyes are sealed in Artists Varnish.
Attire: Started with the skirt attachment on the left flank. Pleated red/green plaid cotton material, hemmed the top with a nice white material and pleated neutral aqua and olive green sequin scarf ruffles along the bottom, attached a string of shiny red and green plastic Christmas ornaments in the middle with a “stuffed animal” white bear attached.
Pony “doll” attached to tail is a Petite Pony I customized. Severed off the stand with a hoof print on it, and attached it to the middle of a large red bow I put in the mane. Severed off the aqua tail bow and attached it to a swirly wooden yellow piece that is also in the mane. I then painted the old mane and bow on the Petite pony, and changed her cutie mark to a candy cane. Made her a new tail from nylon mlp hair in the color white chocolate and attached it to the tail hole with Krazy glue and made her a new light green tail ribbon bow then curled her tail in my permanent hair gel method. Pony is Krazy Glued to the tail of Sister Stockings.
Repeated the neutral aqua fabric for a under-layer piece then pleated the plaid fabric for sleeve cuffs then used a dark teal cotton fabric for sleeves and torso pieces, lined the bottom of the torso piece with cream lace hem. Layered gold star ornaments and golden rope over top to finish.
Lined white faux fur I trimmed down, across the chest then put shiny pink and gold ribbon straps across the back of the neck and down both sides of the front, and fastened it in place with red holiday fabric flowers, added rhinestone detail and silver ornaments for a necklace.
Mane embellishments- Started with stringing lightbulbs, yellow pastel ribbon bead, pink bead and flower beads on floral wire and attaching to mane. Painted white stripes on green beads to make candy beads and tied green ribbon inside them to make them look wrapped. Tied and glued ribbon in square-shaped beads to make beads that look like presents. Finished off the look with various ribbons tied in place, and rhinestone detailing along the forehead.
Dress shoes are teal ribbon wrapped around the hind legs with bows tied, soles are dyed purple leather glued in place then smaller ribbons tied at the tops, some flower beads pinned in place then rhinestone detailing to finish.
Pony base is an engineered pose from two different generation 3 white ponies- body of a walking pose, head of a donkey pose.
Left original body color, eyes are hand-painted in my realism style in Merry Treat’s pale green color, but I decided to blend a monochromatic theme this time, embellished with rhinestones. Her eyes have blue star rhinestones in the pupils.
Cutie mark is a 3-D Santa trinket I’ve had in my doo-dad drawer since my childhood, and have had no purpose for up until now. A lot of his paint had been worn off, so I repainted him. Painted holly leaves around him and added metallic red rhinestones for the berries. Took a strip of red leather and a strip of white leather, put glue on them then twisted them together to make a candycane to put in the Santa’s hand.
Mane and tail are rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors candy apple red, and dragonfly green.Left her hair style plain and straight, true to the original Merry Treats pony from the 80’s.
For her outfit, decided to do a santa suit, but in a pale pink.
Started off with beige boots. Cut them from real leather, used a leather hole puncher to punch holes along the edges for the hem stitches. Soles of boots are same leather. Lined the bottoms with pale gray strips of leather, and a beige thin ribbon. Hemmed the tops with white faux fur.
I then hand-stitched her coat train, front leg sleeves and chest piece from a pale pink fabric with a shiny sheen to the textile. Lined all the pieces with white faux fur, stitched down some white bias tape on the chest piece with pink medium neutral ribbon over top with red beads for buttons.
I wanted to use a coral red material that has a gold sheen to it, so I made her hat out of it. Cut a large triangle from the fabric, stitched it then hemmed the bottom with faux fur, and stitched a bell at the end. Stitched tiny silver bells on light green ribbon, tied a bow and attached it to a red flower rhinestone and attached it to her coat.
Santa sack- took a glass ball and stitched some red & white printed material around it. I had pre-crafted some presents from beads and a striped candy bead, so I stitched them along with various other beads and a tiny toy aqua/yellow rocking horse on the sack, and a cluster of large gold bells. There is a glass red buld bead on there too.
