My mother gave me a bin full of a fraction of my pony collection this morning, and after a bit of research and a whole day of sorting, I am proud to own 104 G1 ponies again. I thought they were lost to time. I can't wait to start giving them a little hair TLC and start trading for the ones I remember missing out on right now!

I was most pleased to find a NIB Chuck-e-cheese baby pony and an open minty one, those were in the best condition, everyone else needs a good brushing.

How wonderful your mother kept some! So often moms are the first ones to send poor ol' Ponies on their way out the front door!

Welcome to the board! Maybe you can find some of the Ponies you seek right here.

I've always found the best method is rinsing the mane and tail with warm water and applying good quality conditioner. Allow it to set in the hair for a few minutes, then get combing and rinse! Sometimes it can take several applications to get the manes looking good again.

You've got some great Ponies there! What fun to get them lookin' fine again!

Here's some great tutorials on hair care if you need them:

I am mourning the loss of some to red and green hair stains, but I am really shocked at what all I found, I have literally been sorting for 14 hours straight because it's bringing back such great memories!

Some stains can be removed! Later when you've got an idea of what sort of damage you have, you can post pics and some of our Pony Medics will try to help you save those Ponies! :D

This is like the best day :D I really hope I have some things people really needed, I know I am missing some that I'd like to see again
!

Glad I could assist! I've gotten great help here in the past, so I have to pay it forward!

Ooooo! So cool! I am Michelle Lysyk from Calgary, Canada! Enjoy and take care!

I really am, I haven't been able to stop hunting through it! So many memories!

Hi, Nice to meet you
*waves from NZ*
So nice to see your Mum kept your Ponies, I would love to get my G1 girls back. I think they were forwarded to some younger cousins.
