Next up,

Minyassa persona request

Pony base is a fakie. Did the body recolor with a base of gray leather dye. Dabbed it on with an applicator, then left it outside while the dye dried and did 2-3 coats. I then went in with various pigments of metallic/gray acrylic paints for rest of the detailing. Raised aqua portions of the design on the body are hemp cording I glued on with fabric glue and sealed with Artists Varnish. Embellished with rhinestones, sealed with mod podge.
Carved holes below the ears and on the shoulders for the horns and wings.

Wings started off with wooden dowels, with purple leather glued around them. Then layered on the dyed feathers with fabric glue, embellished with beads. Wrapped wire around the wood dowels then secured the wires with mod podge and wrapped strings of beads around them. Did this so the wings and mane wouldn’t disappear into each other. Apparently that happens when I make winged customs with hair.

With that said, mane is dyed feathers punctured into the scalp via re-hair tool method. Gray faux fur glued at the front for bangs, this fur is also glued around the neck and at base of tail. Purple hemp cord lines the horns and neck line.

Tail is silver rope with feather tied at the tip via red hemp cording. Embellished with mystic fire stones and other beads strung on wire.

Lastly,

Predator- custom #1 of a 3-part Alien vs. Predator commission request

predator_commission_by_lightningsilver_mana-d64wf8d.jpg

Predator’s My Little Pony base is a generation 1 unicorn pony. I chose generation 1’s for the purpose of better balance of detail.
Severed the ears, horn and nose off the pony so the helmet/hair coils would fit the pony head more accurately.

Full body repaint in acrylics. It was a challenge getting the blend to cooperate, but diligence prospered.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in a black plastic cording usually intended for bead craft.
I’ve never used it otherwise and have had it lying around for years, and it was because I hadn’t had a Predator custom mlp request yet. It’s been waiting around for this purpose.

Managed to make 3 knotted bundles of the plastic cording for the tail, then 2 for the mane that were threaded through the former ear holes of the head. Individually re-rooted approximately 5-6 additional plugs along the back of the head.
Locks have gold elastic ribbon trim tied around them which are secured in the knots with mod podge.
Styled the plugs with a hair dryer to get them to lay down flat.

Next up, laid down a layer of thin black fishnet material over the mid-body and upper legs of the pony with a balanced layer of fabric glue that was carefully thinned in interest of preserving the paint job.

Now it gets interesting- the armor. Cut out all the armor pieces from a pale beige leather. Glued layers together with fabric glue, then took them out to my deck to apply a couple layers of gray leather dye.
Let the dye dry for about a day, then brought the pieces back inside my home and brushed all the pieces with a over-layer of metallic pewter acrylic paint. Pinned all the pieces into the rubber of the pony via straight pins/pliers, then bent the straight pins inside the pony so they’ll never go anywhere.

Detailed armor with lime green hemp cording glued on with fabric glue, then painted the cording with metallic pewter acrylic paint.
Belts across chest and waist are brown suede leather strips. Waist area also has a wider belt of brown suede eyelet material with fringe then unfolded burgundy bias tape wrapped around a few times under the hip armor.

Gun on the left shoulder started out with a long metal bead with floral wire strung through it connecting it to a thick metal hoop wrapped around another crank-shaped metal piece. I then wired a piece of clock innards with gears on to the metal hoop with the floral wire. Wrapped thicker silver wire around the front of the gun then clamped the front to the back together with pliers. Handle has silver leather strips.

Weapon/device on front right leg is constructed from a base that consists for phone innards.
Black leather suede and silver leather strips line this piece. Long silver beads with silver spikes are wired to the whole piece and secured. Black neck piece is the black suede leather strip wrapped around a few times with black hemp cording wrapped around a few times over top.

Both front leg bands are detailed in hemp cording and rhinestones which are pained in metallic pewter acrylic paint.

Skull bead sash is black hemp cording that starts at the neck then wraps around to the belt on the back end of the pony. Beads are specially ordered from a local Native American specialty shop. I walked in the shop and specifically asked if they had skull beads, and they whipped out a catalog and let me order any specific beads I wanted!

All armor and painting sealed in mod podge.
