Lara Croft: Tomb Pony

She started out as a Strawberry Swirl with a mangled and chewed foot. She was dyed for color, then rehaired with a blend of brown, copper, and black, to give a natural, almost highlighted look.

All of her sculpted components are completely done with Apoxie, some details done with a sewing needle. Painted in acrylic, fully sealed.

Her bag, an extra not requested by Majesty but done to surprise her, is leftover apoxie, faux leather for the straps, acrylic paint and sealant.

I love this whole custom... but the hair.... omg, that hair is to die for!! I *love love love* the color blend and the braid and bangs!
 
I responded to your PM Jewel but I thought I would respond to your post as well. I am in utter (sp?) Awe of the work you did on the custom and the bag was a nice surprise, thanks on that as well. Can she wear the bag or is it just decoration? I wanted to make sure, but either way it is just awesome. :bliss:

Just normal RIT dye -- I did a mix of several different colors to get a "skin" tone that Maj wanted :)

Time! It's all about time! I was able to do this for Maj so fast because I was snowed in for a week, lol. :)

Hi Maj! I'm so glad you like her-- that's what matters most! :D I altered the backpack to more of a satchel-style bag, so it can be worn around her neck. I'll explain more about that in my pm back to you :)
 
This is amazing work MBJ. Even if you hadn't said "who" she was, my first guess would have been Lara Croft. I'd be proud to have this sitting on my coffee table for all to see that came into my apartment. I might get a few weird looks from freinds but...

"Ummm... dude. Is that a Lara Croft my little pony over there?"
"Yeah, isn't she cool...???"
"Seriously. We told you once before that if you collected any more dolls we were going to give you a swirly..."
"She's not a doll, she's an action figure..."

she is so fantastic. why aren't there more Jewel customs?!?!!?!?
 
awesome. she is too cool. very lovely. looks better without the big boobs. im so happy to hear that majesty is pleased with this custom. you are such a sweetheart for volunteering to help make this custom.
