So I have been trying to slowly rebuild my herd, through here, Ebay and I did join a Facebook group as well. Been buying a few here, few there as I can and working more on certain groups for right now.
Firstly all my combing goodwill, flea markets and Peddler's Mall have not have many successful finds. I have been to two different Target stores within an hours drive and NOTHING either. Been getting kind of sad about this. Found some at Meijer, but all ones that I already have. Learned now to check Marshalls and TJ Maxx. But love Amazon and thankfully with my health insurance I can earn points towards gift cards. So now I have finally completed the Year 1's, and the year 2 earth ponies I just got off Amazon and waiting for Seashell to come in(Be here by Friday) and Larkspur is sending me Trickles so down to Year two Unicorns and Pegasus and the other 5 Year 3 rainbows.
I am so excited!
Second had wise for G1's I have 3 of 4 baby Ballerina ponies, 2 of the 4 Baby Rainbow's and 5 of the 6 collector pony smash'ems. Going with the full set of Flutter ponies that just need some wings. I keep hunting and finding G3 and G4's at Goodwill, but nothing for G1's. I skipped over a few G4's because I had them already(I already have 2 Lily Blossom's). I figure once I finish what list of G1's I have I will venture to either other G1's and/or G3's. I have not been so excited about something in years. It is giving me focus and a drive that has been all sapped out of me for a while(Kentucky weather has not helped at all) I am supposed to be waiting until I get my own place and I am also house shopping at the same time that's why I am trying to not buy as much(Just anything from my overtime or my side jobs is pony money) or use points from my Humana Go365 points.
Just tickled that I am concentrating on something. I have an opened 35th anniversary Snuzzle and an 80's Bowtie that sit by my bed because something about that blueish hue body and the pink hair makes me so happy.

:tongue:I just love how excited you sound! And your collection sounds great and like it’s building so quickly. Pony collecting is so much fun.

It totally is! At least it's not something that eats for sure! Two live horses and I had been collecting cast off rabbits and more of the ones that I do raise but it's been such a drag and I stumbled onto My Little Ponies again and rekindled. Trickles came today so now just waiting on Seashell. Now hopefully I can go look at a house over the next 10 days too. Hardest thing is finding a place that has room for the horses!

Congratulations!

Well I have two more completed baby pony sets! Rainbow Baby Rainribbon is on her way, so the Rainbow Babies will be complete and I got a full set of the sparkle baby ponies Down to 137 ponies on my want list!

They're fabulouso together!

Too much cuteness! Those are two of my favorite sets!

Tickled! I know Target is supposed to have the 35th anniversary in stock, but I have been to two within a decent driving distance and I got the World's smallest set at Target but I have been having way better luck at Meijer's. I got the rainbow Year 3's minus the unicorns, from Larkspur and today I was at Meijer and saw the 4 I have gotten from Larkspur and 4 of the year 2 unicorns and Pegasus, so I'm down to literally just 4(Pinwheel, Starflower rainbows, Medley and Glory from the year 2) from the 35th anniversary releases to catch up with them. Then Stranger Thing Applejack and the Blossom Smash'em. Then I have to decide which sets I am going to start working on again (Plus still find that last ballerina baby)
I was just like a kid in a toy store when I saw them this morning . . . Now if only I could be like that for a lot of other things that would be great.

So my collection hit a standstill for a while until about a week ago, when I was combing the Facebook groups I was on and someone had posted a Mimic for sale. Good condition for $120. I asked if I could break it into 2 payments- she agreed(after a little time to think) and it spured my collecting again. Mimic is on the way. Mimic was one I had as a child and I actually do not know what happened and where she went. She would have been one I would have kept as I LOVE green and Purple, unicorns and carousel horses. I ordered the last 35th anniversary pony I needed off Amazon(Medley) and I browsed trying to find that elusive last Ballerina baby. Found her on Ebay- so that set is FINALLY Complete. So now I figure I will start to work on the couple sets I have started or have some but not many of. Boys(big and little), Twinkle Eyes and likely the Twice as Fancy ponies since I have Dancing Butterflies- I know their babies are going to be hard finders.

Though still sorely disappointed there has been NO G1's at my thrift shops or Goodwill's. As my G1 and G3 collections grow I find myself pushing my G4's out so those I will likely sell or trade at some point.

But getting Mimic coming is just so exciting, she is probably the rarest one I will have. But now I want to start going after TE's BAD.

^^ Her photo, not mine.

Merry Christmas to myself! A stout price for me to pay but Mimic is here! She sent her with the teeny tiny pony as a travel companion. Soon she will be up with what few TE's I do have. I so want to start working on building my TE herd. :fizzy:

And here I go again! Having Mimic in hand has been thrilling! So I combed Craigslist (though there is NEVER anything hardly to be found in Kentucky) I found a posting for these girls up somewhere near Cincinnati and I emailed, asking if- at my own cost- can I get them and have them shipped. $30 shipped she told me. I sent her $35 anyway because that's still a good deal to me! LOL so these lovelies should be here by New Years. but UHG, Must stop for a little while and recover my budget.
