Yesterday was the first time I spent any significant time on this forum since discovering it in December. I was looking through the FAQ section and read the info on getting rid of frizzy hair and was astounded by the idea of dipping ponies into BOILING water!

So, of course I had to try it.

Since I have several G1s that I am preparing to list for sale/trade, I decided it wouldn't hurt to try and eliminate some of the frizz in their hair. I selected Sundance and Sugarberries to experiment with. Of course nothing disastrous happened, because you all know what you're talking about. Although I wasn't quite prepared for the lovely burning-nylon smell that filled my nostrils...

They are both currently drying on a towel and we'll see how they look once they have fully dried off. I thought I knew a lot about cleaning and caring for ponies, since I have been an avid collector since the early '80s. But I am discovering how very little I actually know (or ever thought about trying) from reading the knowledge and experience listed on this wonderful site. Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to share their wonderful thoughts and experience with others.

Welcome back then! And do show us before and after (or just after as the case may be) photos if you can!!

Rock-on! Excellent cleaning job..
