I also posted this on the Arena, but haven't received any replies yet, so perhaps some of you are up-to-date concerning current pony prices?

I've tried to determine a reasonable price for the following ponies, but I couldn't find similar ones on eBay:
  • Italian Sparkler, in very good condition, except for her very frizzy tail
  • Italian Gusty, in very good condition, but was rehaired (with original colour hair) years ago and her symbols were touched up on one side
  • Italian Surprise, in excellent condition, still has her factory curls
  • Italian Sky Flier, tail was rehaired, faint red discolouration area on one side, otherwise very good condition
  • Italian Pinwheel, mane was rehaired and both symbols touched up, otherwise very good condition
  • Italian Starflower, pink mark on her horn, otherwise in very good condition
  • German Baby Glory, rattles, minor discolourations to her hooves, muuzle, eartips and horn, otherwise in very good condition
  • Misty, excellent condition, can't see any faults and comes with her original float
  • Seashore, excellent condition, can't see any faults and comes with her original float
  • Raincurl, excellent condition, retains most of her factory curls, no discolourations or marks

Yes I did, I couldn't find most of those listed here or with the Italians I only found the standard US/UK version. As a matter of fact I did find Raincurl there, but the eBay Price Guide lists her with an $9.69 average price, while current auctions are in the $25-44 range. Although I realise the overpriced ones probably won't get sold. Unfortunately, my display cabinet is full and I still have ponies on my wish list, so those poor girls just need to go in order to make room.

If photos of the ponies help, they are in my gallery: https://www.hqg1c.com/gallery/Perso...2/Personal-album-of-IceCrystal02-cat_u416.htm

  • Italian Gusty, in very good condition, but was rehaired (with original colour hair) years ago and her symbols were touched up on one side $25-35 rehaired brings her down
  • Italian Surprise, in excellent condition, still has her factory curls $50-60
  • Italian Sky Flier, tail was rehaired, faint red discolouration area on one side, otherwise very good condition $35-45 rehaired brings her down
  • Italian Pinwheel, mane was rehaired and both symbols touched up, otherwise very good condition $35-45 rehaired brings her down
  • Italian Starflower, pink mark on her horn, otherwise in very good condition
  • German Baby Glory, rattles, minor discolourations to her hooves, muuzle, eartips and horn, otherwise in very good condition $25
  • Misty, excellent condition, can't see any faults and comes with her original float $25-30
  • Seashore, excellent condition, can't see any faults and comes with her original float $40-50
  • Raincurl, excellent condition, retains most of her factory curls, no discolourations or marks $25-30

Thanks a lot Tak! I'll just have to keep checking eBay for Italian Starflower then, that's perfect. Regularly checking all the ponies was very time-consuming. :)

Oh, by the way, Italian Sparkler is the one that's similar to US Sparkler, not the one in collector's pose and dark purple hair, so perhaps she's worth less?

Less than the cp one, but prices are high right now. Sparkler isn't the easiest to find.

Is the price you suggested for the cp Sparkler, or the gp one? I haven't checked prices in years, so I'm really not up-to-date, but I have an e-mail subscription for some of my saved MLP searches (for ponies on my wish list), and prices really seem quite high at the moment. If somebody is willing to pay these prices is another matter.

The gp one.

Only the sold ones go on my price guide. And I'll be sure to add Raincurl to my list to update. I thought I had since I sold one recently, but I guess not. As for the Italians, I stopped adding them to my guide long ago because so few sell on U.S. eBay and so it's hard to keep up in the pricing. And there are so many of them to keep track of. I was afraid I was taking price for the wrong one from the month before.

That's perfect, thank you for maintaining this very helpful price guide! It makes sense to only add ponies that sold. Currently I have the feeling so many are overpriced and it doesn't look like they attract any buyers.

I can imagine it being difficult to keep separate trackers for all different pony versions. The listings aren't always very clear either, which makes finding ponies quite hard at times. Do I search for "xy pony italy", or "xy pony italian"? Then some sellers from Europe don't even mention they're Italians, or ponies with double names spelled together etc. For the ponies I really want I have several separate searches on eBay, hoping to catch all the relevant listings.

This exactly. I have several searches as well. Thankfully when I do searches for sold listings eBay's newer search sometimes helps if you go down some they will take out part of your search and have "similar name" search. It helps sometimes. They'll take out some of the words I have in my search or they'll search for similar words.
