Anyone on her who knows a little about me, knows that I'm struggling to pay off all debt so that we can afford our car. It was necessary to get a car for too many reasons to list. So I've sold, and sold, and sold. Any unnecessary furniture, ponies, plus my daughter's sold mh dolls, eah dolls, mh minis, unicornos, mermicornos, zelfs, trolls, Disney dolls, playmobile toys, and other random items of both of ours. We've been struggling to get enough food, got help from the salvation army for Christmas, and we plan on skipping all holidays, birthdays and other events. The only exceptions we made are swaps on here because we both enjoy them and they are good for mental health, and I will make sure my daughter gets pizza, cake, and ice cream for a small birthday with a sleepover.

We're trying so hard, so very hard, and the dog cracked a tooth for $600, now an injury for $150, glasses for my daughter for $500, then clothing and shoes necessary (mostly) for $200, cold upping the heating costs $100 per each of the last three months, my ride has been bailing on me forcing me to drive more than is actually safe costs gas, plus a neck mass, a shoulder that is locking up, weight that I just can't seem to shed even forced a need to buy a pair of pants that fits so I have one pair of jeans, and my sweet girl smashed my glasses so hard into my face that I'm bruised down each side of my nose with sinuses blocked by the swelling and wearing my glasses (which I can not see without) is a special new kind of pain.

I'm sorry to unload. I'm not asking for help of any kind. I'm just wondering why we seem to be blocked at every turn. March first I get more free eBay listings and I'm going to have to pick more to sell. I just hope I don't have to get my daughter to sell more, too. April my car insurance will go down significantly. We just have to keep going. Stay the course. If you made it this far, thank you for listening. It means the world to me that I know there are people out there who care. Your own struggles help me to put mine into perspective.

Thanks

Pony hugs Tak.

These are all temporary situations and you'll get through them. It certainly sometimes seems like we have a dark cloud hanging over head, but hang in there things will improve. In the meantime, you have friends here and take support wherever you can find it.

It went ok @tulagirl they won't give me the results until Wednesday. My appointment was at 2 and I had to fast for at least 2 hours prior, but it was such a busy day that I just now finally got my first water and food for today. So dizzy. They also had so much trouble with the iv for contrast. One lady tried 4 times before they called a specialist. Otherwise, ct's are painless and quick. Now if my Wesley could just heal up. The infection is gone thanks to the massive amounts of antibiotics, but he chewed the scab off. The vet said it was normal for him to do that with the first scab, but he was hurting so much I had to give him pain meds at bedtime. He's doing okay today. Neither of us likes him staying home when I have to go out.

Aww, man. Hang in there, I'm sending good vibes your way!

Thanks @Gingerbread I sold enough ponies that I'm back where we started, so that is good.

I've been having a very bad idea lately, though, and keep telling myself, "no, no, no". My boy Wesley is a schipperke. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a cute little blonde girl schipperke named buttercup?

Hmpf... I don't know if I could share him.

Hope things are better

Life has many challenges, we never know what direction it will take us too. however the most important part is never let the hardships get you down, stay strong and you are your family will get through them all together..

I want another dog too, but I just can't afford the vet bills. It is like 200.00 each visit for him and more when he has to have annual testing. Another dog would just break my bank. I feel though that pets are one of those things that some of us must have no matter the cost. I can tell you first hand that Yuki keeps me alive. Even my doctors have said it. I figured they might not tell much right yet. Biggest hugs.

I know my Wesley keeps me going. He's a service dog, so he works hard to help me, but he also provides that snuggle when you just need someone to cry on. He knows me so well. I think that even if I have throat surgery and can't speak for a couple weeks, he'll still know exactly what I need and when.

The vet bills get worse every year. If we ever do have the means to afford another pup, I'm getting veterinary insurance. Sad that it's come to that. If I had gotten it when I brought Wesley home it would have saved us nearly $8000! Of course, most dogs (especially schipperkes from reputable breeders), don't go through all that he has, but just maintenance medical and dental are worth it. They won't cover pre-existing conditions or anything caused by said conditions, so it won't help with Wes. I still wouldn't want to trade him for any other dog.

Yea I have insurance but the problem is I have to pay up front for everything. Then I wait a month to get the money back. Sometimes that kills our month. If you know what I mean. It is fantastic though to get the money back. I only pay 10% in the long run, but that will go up after Yuki turns 5.

Smart of you. Good choice. There are actually quite a few options for it up here. Some have you pay up front and reimburse, some make you pay a partial and you get a smaller refund later, some will cover it and bill you themselves later. My farmer's car and renter's insurance company actually offers the last one with a small yearly deductible depending on age and breed.

Btw, I lowered my prices even more. I'm losing money buy selling under value, but it's getting them sold.

Yay, I'm done selling.

Not yay, I'm getting my giant thyroid mass biopsied.
I'm reading up on everything and on all the lists of risk factors for malignancy, I'm like, thyroid disease check, family history of thyroid disease check, radiation of the neck or thyroid region check, family history of thyroid cancer check, personal history of cancer check, female check, age check, umm... there's no more to check darn.

Assuming the worst my risk of complications list was fully checked, too.

Go me! I have just been pre-qualified for some more pain and stress. o_O
