Today I listed nearly 100 ponies for sale on an active Facebook sales group. I've had no replies at all and I don't get it. It can't be my prices, because they are all fair and I used a combo of Ebay completed sales and Angelfire's site to ensure my prices were in line with the market. I had some difficulty with Facebook and some of the photos posted upside down, but I don't think that would necessarily deter people.

This is a very active group and it's odd that this amount of ponies is being ignored. Maybe it's because the Facebook account I used I only have about 18 friends. Perhaps it looks like I'm a scammer or something. I don't get it. Anyone have any ideas or belong to this group? It's the My little pony - extras for sale group.

Also, I don't use my real name anywhere on the internet. I have two Facebook accounts. One of which I use strictly for selling (because, OMG, have you seen the weirdos who reply to marketplace ads). It's an old account. I had it for 10 years.

I think right now sales are a little slow. I have a ton of ponies listed on eBay right now and usually I have bids and people BINing my ponies left and right, but it's settled down. I think people are just saving money for Christmas and Black Friday deals right now.

It took about 12 hours, but I've finally had a couple replies and one sale. I would have thought sales would be higher, given Christmas. So strange even a few weeks people were buying on this group like mad.

Apparently sales across the board even on non-Pony stuff is down. My little sister was really bemoaning that she's had no Etsy sales where she usually has 200 bucks a week.

I'm also not sure what the deal is with Paypal. I had a gal from France send me payment today and it never showed up. I called Paypal and they said maybe she had my email wrong or something. When I asked her about it she sent a screen shot from another buy she made and her message didn't really make sense. I suspect it's just the language barrier, as French is clearly her first language. I hope the payment shows up soon.

Paypal can definitely be a pain, but I like their protection policies. Hopefully the payment will show up soon so you can ship out.

good luck with your sales. I understand things might be a little slow right now but I hope it will pick up during the holiday season. :) I also agree paypal can be tricky but its very useful to be protected by it.

Make sure your post is public if you want more exposure. Otherwise, it's just a buyer's market.
