I haven't been active lately and I feel kinda bad about it but so much stuff happened and I just didn't feel like being online. However, I'm doing much better now and after such a long dry spell I went to my good ol' antique store yesterday and found a couple ponies!

First up, Lily! Her hair is pretty bad and she has some marker stains (and obviously no wings) but is otherwise lovely <3

And a very lovely Pearly Pie!

Very tiny brag but I wanted to share since I haven't shown any ponies lately.

Update 5/29/18: Just one pony this week so I went ahead and just added her to this brag thread, but I found a lovely Seascape at Salvation Army today!

Well its not like your obligated too, but congratulations on your lovely new ponies. Particularly Pearly Pie.

Nice!! It gives me hope to hear there are still ponies in the wild....though they're never Rapunzels are they LOL

I know, but I really wanted to share so I decided to pull myself out of my slump and do it <3 Thank you! I used to have a bunch of G3 pegasi before I lost so many of my ponies, and I really loved them, so I'm super happy to find one <3 Plus Pearly Pie has such a cheerful, pretty color scheme, I love her!

Thanks! I haven't found a Punzie in the wild yet but I did find two Rosey Poseys (one in mint condition) at a thrift store and near mint TAF Mom & Baby Dancing Butterflies, also at a thrift store, and more recently one of the Fancy Mermaid babies at an antique store so....it's possible! Maybe not probable but definitely possible hehe.

I think she has a cheerful color scheme too. I like her tropical flowers and her colors are like a beautiful golden sunrise, don't you think?

Glad you're feeling a little better and good job on your pony finds! They both have such nice, Spring-y color schemes.

Happy to hear you are feeling much better. Your new ponies look like excellent additions to your collection. :)

I'm glad you're feeling better! I certainly think we all understand you being down. It's hard to lose a beloved pet. It's the same as losing family!

Update 5/29/18: Nothing at the antique store (besides a WWII silk painting I'd been eyeing for the last couple weeks and finally bought), but I did find a lovely Seascape at Salvation Army today!

I very much agree!

Thank you <3 Definitely!

Ahh thank you!

Thank you so much <3 It has been difficult. Sometimes I catch myself going 'I should go out and give an apple to Dusty' and then I remember she's gone and it hurts, but I'm doing much better now. The ponies help!

When our family horse Linda was struck by lightning after 30 years of love and laughter, I found myself staring at her patch of grass where she'd stand, waiting for her supper. I'd look day after day, knowing she was gone, but not excepting it. Then one day, there she was, tail swishing, her head held up in her trademark 'laugh'. She locked eyes with me, nodded once and was gone. I don't know if she came to visit or it was me just wishing, but after that I accepted her death and moved on, knowing somewhere in some merry meadow, Linda was a-waitin'. She and Dusty (and all the little ponies and horses that went before and after them) are probably friends by now.

Seascape is gorgeous! If its alright to ask, may we see the silk painting too please?

I was gonna ask too, it sounds cool! I love old goodies.

Sure thing!

It's really gorgeous, but I don't know anything about it yet since there are no markings or signatures on it that I can see. The booth I bought it from mostly has 1930's-40's stuff, and this was marked as 'WWII Soldier Painting' and it was sitting around a bunch of other vintage paintings. I'm thinking about posting it to the war memorabilia forum I'm a member of to see if I can find out who painted it/who the soldier is. It might have been done by a local artist, but I'm not sure where to begin looking for that. Silk painting seems to be pretty uncommon in the US as far as art mediums go.

That is so well done! @dakotadarkhooves

The shiny blonde hair, round boyish face and gleaming blue eyes really bring this fella to life!

I know how that feels, after Sinjin and Alize passed on, I would sometimes look at toys or treats that I thought they'd have fun with, or go out to check the water and food bowls and suddenly remember they were gone. Big :xmashug:to you.
