I Love Lucy pony commission for MLPMommy4Life

I'm so glad you're pleased with the result :) As you know, she gave me the most difficult time of any custom I've ever done...

When I was first sculpting her base, one of the big storms suddenly came up the coast and knocked out our electricity, so I had no choice but to let the apoxie cure as it was, chunky and uneven and unsmoothed. After that, I had to use my dremel and hand sand away ALL of the excess.. which took weeks.

This was after my first attempt with apoxie that didn't set properly and ended up in a crumbly consistency that I couldn't use.

Then, when I went to do her skin tone, two of my paints didn't mix properly (I think one was just old) and as she dried, she looked like she had some kind of disease. So, stripped all that away and started again......

All in all though it was a labor of love and I definitely learned a lot from it. :) I really hope your friend likes her! :D

Oh gosh, if I had as hard of a time with a custom like that I probably would have ended up drop-kicking mine against a brick wall or something!

(with an outwardly intent of stripping off the paint... xDD)

Your hard work definitely paid off.

Kind of inspires me to go ahead and make a I  Lucy gift custom for my sis-in-law! She's a MASSIVE fan and I just bought a "vita-meata-vegamin ala vodka" necklace as a B-day gift... this would be great for a Christmas gift idea, and I got some freebie orange mohair retrodollsus shipped me! :453:

Pass on the love.

She is fan-flipping-tastic! If I didn't totally love where she is going, I would make such grabby hands for her. Amazing.

She looks perfect! I'm a huge fan of Lucy, so this custom rocks in so many ways. :)

Oh wow! So detailed and beautiful!

The sculpting on her is so perfect and she is exactly like the actual person! :D Just compare them :winkpony:
