Reposting people's artwork without credit is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Many artists have deleted all their artwork and profiles online because of crap like this.

Do the right thing, source art that you share. (And as for stuff like this on social media sites, also get the artists' permission, many artists do not allow their work to be reposted period unless you ask them).

I can be hard to remember in the excitement of finding something so captivating. The artists really do need to be asked permission and credited for their creations.
@my little pony collector we all slip sometimes. I think it's harder to remember when you're innocent of the vile things some people will do and when it's not something you could do on your own.

It is perfectly understandable you would want to share with us. It is a good reminder to us all to remember to credit anything that we post that isn't ours. Actually, not just art but anything that isn't already marked in some way. There are a lot of things to remember when we are using forums and social sites. All of us make mistakes.

I do totally agree and I know for myself a gentle reminder for me helps. I have no intent to cause a problem when I do. We have a lot of different ages here on the TP and not everyone knows these things yet. It helps to disable right click (when you can) for photos when putting them on sites. I have done that with my auctions since there is so much pony photo theft going on these days.

The same holds true for written works on the internet. Usually you are not allowed to copy and paste something from a website into a post unless you get permission from the site. It is the same as the old fashioned issue of plagiarism where you copy everything from a book for a book report. It can be hard sometimes to remember all these little facts about the internet. I usually don't share anything that doesn't have a share link. That saves me a lot of trouble. Big hugs!! @my little pony collector

Art is a wonderful thing and should be shared, so long as we're sure to link to the original source and give credit to those who create it. We all make mistakes and accidents do happen, we just have to learn and move along.
