I really like the Rainbow Dash with the rainbow wings.

I really hope not, as the quailty would leave me disappointed. I think the new generation will either have looks based on the retro artwork that we are currently seeing on clothes and merch, or just full on Bratz ponyz glam.

Either way, anything looking more pony than G4 is a step up. This Twilight just reminds me of G3 though. If they go that route, I would rather the new gen be made from the G1 molds.

The legs are very G3, but I don't mind that. Its heaps better then the weird noodly limbs they've got now.

My guess is it's that small so that they fit together nicely in the boxing. There's a deep memory of childhood nostalgia coming from that Twilight, so I hope that be the "base" of the product. I doubt do to how cheap Hasbro is these days that they'd make them as big as G1, perhaps more G3 size. Though G1 used less plastic. I guess we'll see where they go design wise, and hopefully listen to fans for once, because I think most want the classic horse design back. If anything, they could mix gens too

That is freaking cute!

That is freaking cute! My only gripe is that RD should be Earth pony.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Like I kinda love it but the longer I look at it the more I see things I don’t like. Like if Hasbro really wants to do the “retro” thing, why not just use the OG moulds? Also G1 didn’t have Alicorns. And I’m still not sure what it is but something is off on the heads AND they should have more hair in the mane and tails.... I dunno. I love it though. Ugh. I will reserve full judgement until I see them in person.

Because it's Retro Styled. :winkpony: Well, actually its more G3 styled but that's a-ok with me.

I like the heads on the pegs and earth ponies.

.... While it's cool and cute, definitely... there's just something about this style that's not quite clicking with me. Something feels off about the eyes; I don't know quite what, exactly. The wings are too low and too far forward on the body (they're attached to the top of their shoulders, it looks like!)

It also looks like the heads are made out of a different plastic than the bodies, to me. I'm going by the pearly, shimmery shine you can see on their chests, and how it stops at their neckline.

Looking at them again, it also looks as if their tails are too low on their rumps. x_x;

I dunno. I guess this style just isn't for me. It almost looks like they're using fakie pony moulds, with the tail placement + face/eye shape. :/ To me, anyway. Like Skywishes, I'm going to wait until I see them in person. It's just not quite catching me in all these promo pics, which is a shame, because I like the idea of where they're going with this. I really would love to love it, I just have reservations... :sadpony:

Your right about the wings being too low, @Uftaki I didn't notice that before. Although on closer inspection they're attached to the top of the legs. And yeah, the tails are too low still. Good eye.
