    Hi everybody! :)

In this thread you will find tutorials for 3 different ways to display your images on the My Little Pony Trading Post forums.

    Upload Method 1: Direct upload

This option is useful when including an image from your computer in a thread or comment.

When creating a thread or commenting, click Upload a File beneath the content box.

When your picture has been attached, it will display beneath your content box:

    upload2.jpg

Now you have some options to consider.

Thumbnail will display a photo in a smaller, thumbnail version that takes up less space. When a viewer clicks the thumbnail, a full size view will open up in a gallery display.

Full Image will insert the full size view straight into the post content.

    upload3.jpg

This is how a thumbnail image looks when clicked:

    upload5.jpg

And if you click neither of these options, your image will be attached to the bottom of your post as an attachment, to be viewed similarly to the Thumbnail display:

    Upload Method 2: Online hosting

There are many image sites available to host your photos online where they can be easily used and viewed. One of the most popular sites is Photobucket, and I will be using Photobucket to illustrate this example.

Once you have signed up for a free account, click the Uploader button in the top navigation bar:

Click Choose photos & videos to choose the file from your computer that you wish to upload. For this example, I chose a photo of Cherry Pie.

Click the image thumbnail to see options for that picture. On this page, highlight or copy the picture's URL code from the box which reads "Direct":

You're almost there! Now, go to the thread you would like to put the photo into, and click the box of the landscape, here:

    pbucket4.jpg
This prompt will appear. Paste the photo's URL that you copied into this box and click Insert.

Your image will then be displayed within your thread, like so:

How to Easily Re-size Your Photos using Paint

    1) Open your image in Paint (Windows)

    2) Find and click the Resize button:

    3) Select "Pixels" and select the pixel size you want. You can always Edit --> Undo to try a different pixel size. In this case, I changed the height of 500px to a height of 300px.

    4) When you're happy with your new image size, Save your photo as a new file (so that you do not lose the original size file)
