How do you grade/rate your ponies?

Just wondered what you take in to consideration when rating or grading your ponies for sales. After reading about greenapplekitty's dissapointing eBay purchase, I'd like to get everyone's opinion on what makes a pony NM, EC, VG, G, Fair or Bait. To me NM means almost perfect, so no obvious marks, symbol rubs, hair cuts or frizzy hair. But then it gets more difficult-is a pony still excellent if the head & body are different colored, but everything else is mint? What if it has really frizzy hair, or a lot of light marks, or really bad marks on the nds? Everybody speak up!

I usually try to avoid labelling them. (Mint/NM etc)

I list flaws and provide nice photographs and let the buyer make there own judgments. :D

to me, Mint is Perfect, Flawless. But, I can pretty much find a "flaw" on every pony, even ones still MOC. so I usually don't like using that term.

But, when I buy, I will never believe an auction description when it says Mint. I always ask questions (about things like tail rust and for extra pic's). I am soo ultra super picky, but this method has worked.

I honestly think anything that isn't MINT is played with condition, then its graded by lightly or CB.
I have a beautiful Gusty but she has the tiny pin hole marks so she is CB now, there isn't another mark on her, her hair is perfect but I am going to have to bin her because of the pin holes.
