I am a new member, probably nice with an introduction! :)
My name is Irene, I am a 30-year old from Sweden. MLPs were my favourite toys as a child so I guess I am a bit nostalgic! Not really a big collector, do not even know if I can call myself a collector, but an MLP enthusiast! :)
Looking forward to learn more here where there seems to be lots of MLP-knowledge! And to share my joy for the ponies with others, who doesn´t think it´s crazy! Lol

Besides MLP (which I have just taken up again, so usually not a big time-consumer), I have a little living pony aswell! :) He is the one on my avatar pic. The best pony of them all! :D Perhaps a bit bigger. He is called Delux and is a 23 year old gelding. I like to spend time on the Neopets-site, trying to cut down though since it gets a lot of time by the computer anyway.
I have a BF. He is more a Marvel heroes-fan than MLP-fan unfortunately! ;) I work full time.

That was some info about me! Think I´ll like it here!

Welcome Irene, lovely to meet you. Noone here will think you are crazy :D
A living pony, how wonderful, and Neopets, yes I once spent alot of time there with my daughters when they were younger. We sold paint brushes and maps LOL......
I'm sure you will like it here, we have a lovely friendly community. If you need help with anything just ask anytime :)

Sounds very nice! :D

Sometimes priorities feels very twisted when it comes to real stuff vs. items or even virtual stuff (like games). I recently spent about the same amount on MLP-stuff that the yearly horse dentist appointment will cost. And I think the dentist app. is really expensive! Lol

Welcome to the TP! I'm sure you will enjoy our community. What a lovely pony you have there. I use to have an Appaloosa, I do miss being around horses.

Thank you! He is my sweetheart! (Do not tell BF I said so! ;) )
Yeah, I go crazy if I do not get to spend time with real horses, so I know the feeling! Great to have the MLPs as substitute! :)

Welcome to the TP! Your pony Delux is adorable! My cousins had horses and they always bought them in their mid to late twenties. Such a nice age for horses to be. They were all so gentle. Hope you have fun in our community!

Hullo and welcome to the board! Your little gelding is a fine looking sort. Once they hit their twenties, they really are so sweet and mellow. I've got a saucy ol' Shetland/Welsh mix named Candy who is about 30 (she's been tossed around by cruel owners so her real age is unknown) and she's still going strong. You can look forward to being together for a good long time!

I know what you mean about having to chose between fun stuff (Ponies, games and such) and necessary expenses like ferriers, vets and feed! If I had the money I spend on all those necessities to spend on ponies, I'd be swimming in them!

Thank you dragonkiss207 & evilbunnyfoofoo! :)

Hmm, mellow you say? I should tell him that! *lol*
He has become more calm overall, for being him, but I think that is mostly because I´ve had him for so long (7 years) . He was a stressed and nervous horse, and in a way that´s "him" -high in nerve and energy, so I do not think it will go away completely. But I agree, their 20s is a nice age. :) He´s also in a lot better physique now than 7 years ago, less stiff, better back etc. which is very nice, since it usually develops the opposite direction after 15!

Shetland/Welsh sounds adorable! :D And 30 is a respectable age!

I still think it is more valueable to spend money on "real" stuff, like getting that new jacket if I need one, saving up for an appartment of my own, being able to go out and enjoy myself now and then, eating healthy food, making sure that me and the horse are as healthy as possible etc, than on stuff I want (or even virtual stuff - must be the worse of all! - they do not even exist except in the computer! Lol) because I do not believe that I get any happier from having more stuff that I do not really need/have use for. Well, atleast that the amounts should be reasonable compared to the joy it brings and value overall in life!
But it is SO easy using money on ponies (or games, for me anyway) and SO hard to invest in other stuff that could really make a difference in life! Guess people are different though, with what we overconsume! ;)

Welcome to the forum! I always wanted to travel to Sweden :3

Hello. I second that. I would love to visit Sweden! Come to california anytime and I'll show you around.

Your gelding looks beautiful. It's so nice to be a pony enthusiast and have an actual pony! I've ridden ponies, but never had the privilege of owning one. Oh wait! I do have a pony. Well, actually he is a great dane named Bob but he is so big that he reminds me of a pony, heh.

Welcome to ponyville and I'll see you around on the boards.
