Hi There!

I'm David, it's good to meet you all. I've been a Brony for about a year now, I got into MLP through a girl I met at an anime meeting. She was so into Rainbow Dash that I decided to give FiM a try and I've been hooked ever since! :smilepony:

I'm 40, disabled and retired, and I have a lot of other hobbies:Star Trek, Anime, Military History, Movies, Reading, and lately, Cooking. I've got steak marinating for Fajitas if anypony is hungry. :)

So how are you all?

G'day!
I'm Sparkey from Australia! Nice to meet you! :smilepony:
I collect anime figures as well as ponies, so we have something in common! (Though I rarely watch the anime I collect the figures from... is that strange?)

Hi All! Nice to meet you! :)

I'm not surprised that a lot of people are into anime as well as MLP. I think the bright design and attention to detail are something both interests have in common.

Sparkey - not strange! I used to watch a lot more anime myself but now I'm just down to re-watching a few favorites. I love the figures and toys though. I have a few figures from shows I've never even seen, that I don't think are even available translated.

Nice! I'm glad I'm not alone! (Though I would estimate that I have somewhere are round 80 figures from shows I've never seen)

Hi Sparkey! That's cool. :) Most of my figures are from my favorite anime, Macross. I have several figures in different sizes of Misa Hayase and Lynn Minmay from the original Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, and quite a few from the 25th Anniversary sequel Macross Frontier. I'm always on the lookout for another figure of Sheryl Nome from Frontier. I just have a few others - 2 of Revy from Black Lagoon, Erica Hartmann from Strike Witches, and the ones that I haven't even seen: Kriska from MuvLuv(?) and a figure of Celia from the video game Walkurie Romance - which might be getting an anime next year.

Hullo from Texas! Glad to meet you.

Your hobby list matches a lot of myinterests as well, although I admit I'm not a huge cooking fan. Been doing too much of that for too long!

Man, Macross brings back memories. I remember watching that religiously (aging myself here). Of course, I started off on Starblazers and was hooked forever. I love anime, although my Japanese has a lot to be desired. I'll learn it one day. In my spare time. Hah!

Welcome, David!

I literally started to re-watch Star Trek TNG last night. I think I got to the third episode before I passed out.

I completely forgot the episode where that one planet kidnaps Tasha, Hahahahah. Oh man.

Anyway, welcome!

Hey, good to meet you too. Yeah, I'm another (old) Macross/Yamato/ Gundam guy. I only speak a few words of Japanese, most of which are only useful to pilots. "Yokai. Max, Valkryie-des,ikkimas!"

Hey! :) Oh yeah, "Code of Honor" - what a ghastly episode. They actually had to fire that week's director! LOL The whole 1st season of TNG leaves a lot to be desired, but that one is a standout amongst stinkers.

Dragonkiss, Moonwillow - Thank you, it's great to meet everypony. :smilepony:
