Hello, I'm Rarishy and I'm new here. I am a big fan of mlp fim, I liked gen 1 growing up and then with the release of fim in 2010, it rekindled my live for the show. I collect the trading cards, funko figures, and comics as well as writing mlp humanized fan fiction. If anyone here ever wants a story written, trade, or just discuss the show feel free to message me or reply here :ponylove:

I've only watched the first season of FiM so far, but I've been collecting G4s since before I ever saw any episodes. Rarity and Fluttershy are my favourites. :3 I have about 10 ponies at the moment, and I'm still looking for more. I used to have a lot of G1s when I was little, but I lost them years ago... thus, I'm making up for it now! XD

I'm a writer myself (doing a college diploma in Comprehensive Writing), but I'm on the fence about MLP fanfiction. I don't feel inspired enough by FiM to write about it, and by extension I don't feel enticed enough to read about it, either. It's probably because I feel it doesn't offer enough in the way of profound character development or a structured, dynamic plotline to spin off into interesting fanfiction concepts. It's a good enough story for children's television, nothing overly complicated or dramatic, but it's for exactly that reason that it leaves me feeling unsatisfied.

Perhaps I just need to watch seasons 2-4. :tongue:
 
Welcome to the TP! I also got back into ponies when the cartoon came out. Sure brings back a lot of memories. Have fun!

The later seasons the writer develop their characters more. I recently rematched season one and it seems basic compared to the newer seasons especially season four. The lessons they learn become more complex as they grow.
