I came to make an account here finally, only to realize I already had an account that I'd forgotten about! lol. So here I am, finally making my introduction! If you're on the Arena, I have the same username over there.

Anyway, I collect all gens, but mostly G1, as that's my childhood generation. I've recently begun posting to an inventory blog, and I've been having a lot of fun cataloging my ponies by photo and spreadsheet! It's coming along slowly, but surely.

Anyway, since I will be starting to sell/trade more in the new year, I thought I'd start frequenting here as well as the Arena. :fizzy:

My blog: http://rainbowstable.blogspot.com/

In my non-pony life, I work part-time customer service at a zoo and study forensics. :CJ:

Welcome to the board! It's very dedicated of you, photographing and cataloging your collection. I tried keeping an Excel sheet and have quickly neglected it. You doing write up of each Pony is nothing short of commendable!

I'll definitely being checking out your blog!

Thanks, everyone! I really love spreadsheets, haha so it is more fun for me than a chore, I'm afraid! And I feel like the blog just adds a new aspect to my collecting that allows me to sort of bond more with each pony. :cc:

Hi, it's nice to meet another G1 fan :D

*Waves From NZ*
Well done you for cataloging all your ponies :)
I wish I had the motivation to list all my ponies, it's on the to do list but as soon as I pick up the ponies I get distracted lol

Aahhh, New Zealand! I was there a couple of years ago, and I didn't want to leave, haha. Beautiful country!

Oh nice, where in NZ did you visit? There are some lovely places here.

Greetings and hello's! I am Michelle Lysyk from Calgary, Canada! I love your username, avatar, and you sig! Excellent!

@RedTabbyKitty I was round abouts Christchurch, visiting my grandad! We had Christmas with friends in Rangiora, but we also visited Sumner, New Brighton, Kaikoura, and Akaroa. I especially loved Kaikoura and Akaroa! I'd love to go back to NZ someday and see more of the South Island, but maybe go to the North as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! @autumn rose thank you!

Akaroa & Kaikoura are beautiful, I love Kaikoura especially it's such a fantastic place even on a stormy day. I lived in Waipara, North Canterbury (about 30 minutes north of Christchurch) for a year setting up a new vineyard about 10 years ago. It's a great area. Hamner Springs, the West Coast are both pretty too :) I guess I should put in a plug for Marlborough too since I live here Lol

I see you're another Texan :D you lassies all seem to gather here. Texas is on my wish list to visit. I hope you weren't effected by the tornado?

Not at all; the worst of the tornadoes was in Garland, so that's a bit north of me, thankfully. Texas does have some interesting historical places to visit, but I kind of hate living here, lol. I've been itching to leave since about a few months after we moved here, lol, and that was in 1994

Yes, my mom told me about Hanmer! We thought about going there, but we only had a month and limited funds, haha. So when her friend came down to spend some time with us, we chose to take the bus out to Akaroa for the day instead. We were going to do another nature cruise there, but it was too choppy out. It was still lovely, though! I really hope to go back sometime, maybe with my brother and his family as well as my parents. fifi

Hi and welcome. I am from Texas. I love G1 ponies as well. Its so nice to have you join the forum. I really do believe you will like it here. Its a lot of fun on the TP. Oh I really like forensics. I like Criminal Justice/Psychology. I am a teacher though. I never went into this because, I have no stomach for real crime scenes. I would love the investigation of it if I just didn't have to go in there and see what happened. I actually think I would love to be a criminal profiler. I kind of love that field. I have a friend that is a Forensic Scientist. She has helped solve many crimes in her time at the lab. It just seems like one of the best jobs ever to bring justice to families, solve cold cases where people need answers and help people move forward. I also love how they are applying this science to the field of anthropology to learn about ancient people they find. Anyway, I went on and on as usual, but so glad you joined and hope to see some photos of your collection soon.

Thanks, @tulagirl! Yes, haha forensics is not for everyone. Bodies don't really bother me, though - I'm mostly interested in bones, and plan to ultimately pursue forensic anthropology (my bachelor's is in anthro, with minors in linguistics and criminology/criminal justice), but right now the graduate certificate I'm working on is in forensic death investigation. I really love it, but I've always been into stuff like that, even as a kid. So it's a perfect fit for me. :flutter2:

What a wonderful career. I love the Anthropology field. I watched this show a while back about a civilization they found with buried dead that included lots of children. They studied the bones to find the cause of death and discovered so many interesting things about why the children died so young. I seem to remember it was typical childhood diseases that we still see today, but due to the lack of medication, death was far more likely.

Wow that sounds like an amazing & interesting field of study. I love that you're studying something you are passionate about.

I'd love to see more of the historical sites & national parks next time I go to the US. My partner likes any site related to conflict or where he can have a bit of a hunt for fossils too. I have a fascination with deserts I guess it's because NZ is pretty green.
