hello all!

Thank you Sunkissed. :) Heh heh, I was thrilled to find a word association thread here, as my other regular (non-MLP) forum has one as well in their women's corner. :D

Oh cool what other forums do you visit?

You mean what I play? Well, I have quite a few, but not enough time to play them... ;) At the moment we play a lot of these puzzle / escape games like Unlock! or Deckscape, these games you only play once (as you know the solution after one playthrough). The "normal" board games we like to play if we find the time are The 7th Continent, Everdell, Dungeon Petz, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle, The Isle of Cats, 7 Wonders, 7 Wonders: Duel and PARKS. I have lots more, hope I'll find more time to play them once my exams are over. I also have a narrative-driven role-playing game my partner has no interest in playing (it's called Legacy of Dragonholt), so I hope I'll be able to play it sometime with my best friend, as she loved the "Choose your own Adventure"-books as a child. Are you also a regular player, Tak?

I'm not, I've always wanted to, just time, money, and my aversion to social interacting (mlptp excluded). I just grew up playing all kinds of card games, normal and collectable, plus all the classic board games (parchessi is a favorite now), and I've watched others play d&d. It looked so fun.

Well, if you like board games, but don't like the social part of it, you could perhaps play on one of the online board game areas: https://en.boardgamearena.com seems to be one of the biggest. I usually play with my boyfriend or with friends, but we go to a local board game night once or twice a month (well, not at the moment :(), where we sometimes meet new people, but have always managed quite well, given the fact that we're both not very sociable either (except when we're around friends). :D

There are quite a lot of board gamers who aren't very sociable either, I hear of people who have an aversion to playing with strangers quite often. Perhaps there is a game group in your area with like-minded people?

I'll admit, most people don't care for my brand of crazy. I'll check out the online forum, though. Meanwhile, it's just games with my girl.

It would be boring if we were all the same, right? :D I'm universally considered weird or at least not fitting into the standard female pattern, as my hobbies and interests are so diverse. Well, I can live with that, I would hate being considered normal.

If you're looking for the board game database (you literally find every board game ever produced in there) and forum: https://boardgamegeek.com/. I can especially recommend the Women and Gaming subforum. Very welcoming people over there.
