Pretty as a peacock and just as proud, he's often mistaken as a girl from a distance due to his refusal to cut his lustrous mane. But he doesn't care. ;)

Preen was made from the dress-up set Sweetsong with hair from Island Delight, Tinka-tinka-too, and . . . that smelly teal G3 I can't remember the name of.

How cute! I love the colour combinations in the mane, the green really makes it "pop"! :)

I love the eyes! Is that what they looked like on the G1's when they were new? lol Great job!
 
LOL! I was studying the Ponytopia guide, trying to figure out that pose.... is that Sweetsong II's head on Sweetsong I's body!? LOL!!
 
How do you get his hair to lie so flat? I've rehaired three ponies and of the three, only one came out with flat hair. Both the babies I rehaired have mohawks that no amount of wetting down will flatten.

Some sort of gem or bead for the eyes, a sharp hobby knife, and a willingness to cut the eyes out of a pony. ;)

Nope, it is the actual pose of Sweetsong II (the one who comes with the bathtime outfit. :)

Hmmm . . . what kind of hair were you using? This was actual pony hair that I harvested from other ponies (Tink-a-Tink-a-Too, a Sunny Scents pony, and Island Delight) and it didn't give me any trouble . . . I did have to wash and condition the hair to make it appear "all of a piece" instead of like it came from four different sources. ;)

Really?? I thought Sweetsong II was in the Fizzy Pop/Lullabell pose! Is this a new pose that only Sweetsong II has so far?

Yep, it's a new pose that so far is unique to Sweetsong II. I love it. It looks like the pony's strutting. (In fact, Strut was another name I considered for this custom. ;) ) It has a head definitely based on Fizzy Pop's and a body similar to Sparkleworks', I think.

LOL! Cool! I didn't want her before, but I definately want her now! I love new poses! (And I think the 'Strut' pose is definately what we should call it! Haha.)

Ahhh, that makes sense. All of my customized ponies have hair transplanted from costume wigs. The one with the hair that lies flat was transplanted from a children's wig. The two with mohawks are from much shorter adult wigs. That may be my problem.

It's just so much CHEAPER to buy costume wigs from Walmart during Halloween and use the wig for ages and ages. ;)

I can think of a few guys who strut like that. Actually it seems most of the guys at my school do! :roll: He is neat, and I love his hair but I have to say Beacon (the Pegasus, I think that is the right name) is the best of the bunch.
