I think it's turning out okay, but does anyone have tips on making the transition smoother? Any tips much appreciated! ^^

Rock-on! She's looking so good already! Wicked!

She looks great so far! I can't really give any tips as I haven't customized before, but keep up the good work!

this is cute even without hair and is still not done alas i cannot give tips because i havent changed posishions on costoms:tongue2:

I think that you are doing a fab job! Can't wait to see how she looks finished.

So cool!! I think she looks fantastic! If you want the clay to smooth out you could try sanding (though I bet you're already doing that). I'm excited to see how she turns out!!

The ear position is adorable! I think you're doing great. If you're using Apoxie Sculpt the trick is to sand, sand, sand. Put on enough Apoxie to cover the seams just a tiny bit too much. Then use varios grains of sandpaper to get the seam transitions smooth. Apoxie will sand to a very smooth, slick finish if you use a very fine grain sandpaper.

She looks like she'll be adorable. Keep up the good work!

Omg! She looks amazing!

^This! It takes a lot of sanding to make the seems blend. Also, make sure you prime so it's all one color before adding your final color.

Her wings and legs pose are great!
I like the idea of the bent ear, but I think it looks a little long.
Keep up the good work!

She looks so awesome :D the wings and the little ears are super cute :3
May I just make a silly question? will the yellow paint stick well to the pink tone of Pinkie without applying anything before? :surprisepony:

I'm not the original poster, but if you're modifying a Pinkie Brushable, I'd prime her in White before painting Yellow.

Wonderful work! I especially love her wings!

If it's Apoxie Sculpt, get a small bowl of water and keep dipping your fingers in it. Then, smooth onto the sculpt. (While it's still soft and workable.) Keep wetting it with your fingers until it's as smooth as you like.

Can't wait to see the finished Fluttershy!!!
