Hi i was wondering is anyone could help me?

I am a self professed pony hoarder (especially G1 and G3 ponies) and I spend a lot of time trying to restore them back to perfect condition. I have figured out ways to combat the frizz (I had to experiment with Fizzy, she looked like a Perfume Puff pony before i started) but the one thing i cant seem to conquer is dry ends. I've tried conditioner and heat like i do with the frizz but it seems to make it worse. I've even tried placing them in a warm humid room to try re-hydrate the fibers and it seemed to work, but only minimally. The majority of the dryness is still there :(

Does anyone know how to cure this?

Thank you!

Too much hair in the heat iron at once prevents all the ends from getting straight. Sometimes you have to go a couple of hairs at a time. I will say this though, ends sometimes do not repair even with heat and conditioner. I use a very fine tooth comb and separate the hairs into tiny little strands, then flare those little strands out with the fine tooth comb so all the plastic hair is getting the heat evenly. Then I run it through the curling iron on setting 2 or 3 very slowly, constantly pulling tight so the plastic can straighten while it is going through the iron. Even with all of this the very tip of the hair may still just not respond to the heat because there is nothing to hold it down to the iron properly since it is on the end. Hope that makes sense. I do not use water on the pony hair. I clump the conditioner on and iron it with that conditioner instead. I always do it over a towel because hot globs of condition will fall and ouchy they can sting. Sometimes I have been known to soak the head in globs of conditioner the entire day and night before I apply heat, I rinse it and then re-apply before using the heat. The G3 hair was frizzy and somewhat dry to begin with on some ponies. Do not use heat on the pony hair that changes color in the sun. It will melt it, and if it doesn't....it will ruin its ability to change color. Found this out the hard way.

Thank you! I'm going to try your method of caking on conditioner and using a curling iron, I've only used a flat one before.
Thank you!

Just make sure you have a curling iron with heat settings so you can set it on a 2 first and then at the most try a 3

So I tried the boiling method to get rid of the frizz today and I just wanted to share the results!

I decided to test it out on Starglow who's hair was just a mass of frizz, it was horrible. I spent a good half an hour repeating the dunking and brushing and only after I had finished I realised I never took a before photo! She is not completely frizz-free but all of her major frizz has disappeared! (I've included photos with and without the flash because the frizz is easier to see with the flash!)
