Awe Claire you rock!! Thank you soooo much!!!
I'm so glad my ponies put a smile on your face!!
I think that half of collecting is enjoying their beauty, and by photographing them I love them more. I like moving them around to get the prettiest angles--because you know some ponies were molded just for that certain angle that makes them look most beautiful. I really need to make a nice set up though. I have a studio downstairs, so I really need to use that
My camera is a Nikon D80 and I ADORE it. I actually got it for free through the Michigan Education Savings Plan because I'm a photography student. Michigan might be really messed up, but it has a few things going for it.
I still hold spoosh up to be the best pony photographer
I still go back to the old 50 most beautiful website and drool
As for the curls--I actually like to work with the natural curl in their hair. I don't use straws or boiling water or any products. I just wash them and twist the hair and wrap it around their legs. Some ponies, like Sweet Clover, whose hair is just slick straight, it doesn't work too well. But some, like Gusty and Locket, have that natural curl left and really lets your work with it. And it's really just fine to wash their hair. The curl always comes back if you do it right.
Maybe it's just because I have naturally curly hair and I really know how to work it best?? LOL I've had a very long time to work with it!!
*edit* Woo you edited! haha
You know, I think that's what it is for me. I tend to be most fond of the ponies that were featured in the episodes and movie. I can understand that since you sort of "get to know" them and they seem to tug at our heart strings
As for the girls, they mostly did magazines and commercials, but my mom said they did the inserts too. Not sure which ones
I wish I knew what they were up to now! I haven't seen them since we moved from Texas..maybe I could find them on Facebook...*plots* They were several years older than me, but I might be able too. But yes they were sooo beautiful....We have some old home videos with them over and me being like 6 months old with alien bug eyes at all these ponies.
Okay it's official, I need to dig out those tapes. See what ponies I was playing with! If it was a Rapunzel, I'll die...hahaha
But oh my gosh...they were the most beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed girls ever...
Their names were Heather, Holly, Hannah, Haley, Hillary, and......might have been Holly. Their dad had an old Texas name that started with H, too. My mom said their last name was Campbell (or Camble...I don't know, that's just how she said it lol) and they lived across the street from H. Ross Perot O_O
