I thought I’d pop in to do a tiny brag with my fellow pony enthusiasts (since no one else seemed to be as excited as me about this).

I was out and about today doing errands with my mother. Took her to some doctor appts and then shopping. While she browsed in a vitamin store, I snuck over to Toys-R-Us as I haven’t been at all in about a month or so. I wasn’t expecting to find much pony wise as that section is insanely tiny at my local Toys-R-Us.

Today, I got to my beloved pink aisle and who do I spot - Princess (freaking) Skystar the Hippogryph!!! My eyes went wide and I snatched it before some kid could that was also looking at ponies. *kudos to me for being over 3ft and able to reach the high rack - kinda*

They also had a few of the Capper & Rarity sets. But I have been search for this hippogryph high and low for what feels like a life time now. Now she’s all MINE!!

Now the big question; do I open it up or leave her mint in box?? This may torture me as I really wanna style her hair.

They also had the Cutie Mark Crew. I picked up a couple to see how they are, as this isn’t really my thing. I love them and must complete that set now too. (I got Derpy & Seapony Twi)

Congrats! This set was a current grail for me as well and I just got it a few weeks ago! Unfortunately mine will be staying mint in box for now, until I have more display room. No need to untangle more hair than I have to. :D

I am so excited for the cutie mark crew line! They look adorable online, but they have yet to hit stores here.

If you like, I’m happy to pick some up and send them to you?

She's been sitting in my local Fred Meyer for months. Capper, too. I keep making myself walk away. The hardest for me was the extra large mane six and princesses. I never knew they made them bigger than fashion style, but with the original g4 noses. So. Hard. To. Walk. Away. If you ever need help getting something and don't mind the shipping, just let me know! Congratulations on finding your sought after pony. (Don't worry about the kid. Most kids have way more toys than they need anyway. )

@Tak - Thank you!!! That’s incredibly sweet and kind of you! And extra large ponies and princesses you say?? I may take you up on that offer depending on shipping. I will have to look into that, I’ve got them on my wish list for Prime Day (lol) so I will see if I can get them that way first. But I may very well take you up on your offer if your good with that (obviously I would pay for everything).

@Safflower - Thank you! I’m pretty excited.

They're called styling size. Like 10" tall instead of 6" fashion style.

Oh lucky! How cool are those? I wish we'd get some new Ponies around here. We just have WalMart and we still have last year's toys. And maybe some from 2016 to boot.

I live in a time warp!

Not sure how I managed to miss your post?
Anywhoot, yes!! For the longest time I’ve too lived in a land of the past in ponyland. Fortunately Toys-R-Us has recently gotten a lot of new stuff lately.

There was no joy in the U.S. for toys-r-us, mighty toys-r-us was gone.

I’m so sad that Toy-R-Us has had to shut down so many stores. The store has a lot of memories for a lot of people and many generations. The internet has killed off too many businesses, and ones we thought would never go. :,(

There are so many ppl in this area that are very much into buying local. There's a farm in the middle of town! We have a local toy store that doesn't carry all the most common brands, but it is an amazing little store. It focuses on learning toys quite a bit, but it has something for all ages. I love going there and playing with their toys. I go out of my way to spend a little bit more on some things just to support them.

I agree. Small business is important to support. I frequently shop small “ma and pa” type stores, but these are coming less and less every year it seems.
