I wanted to create a post that is light hearted and upbeat. I don't have any a huge abundance of positivity right now as I'm in the Epicenter of The Corona Virus Pandemic. Lately, I have been shopping for mostly Cleaning Supplies. I have pretty much everything that I need, as far as I know...
I have 4 fabric masks ($10 to $15 each) which are pratical and a few regular medical masks ($2 each). I have shared with my relatives, solid black fabric masks, but I found really fashionable masks...

I found these masks online which were really cool so I figured I would share and see if anyone else has (or is considering buying) masks that are Extra.

Well, we have the opportunity to show our individual style and check out different stylish options...

Feel free to share your Opinion on the Masks and Photos of any masks you Like...

And if it is not too personal (assuming you own a mask which is now mandatory in some US States) what's your mask look like?

I have a friend with Spongebob. I have Lilly Pulitzer material to make some. Up until now, I’ve been using hiking bandanas.

I don't leave my property and rarely go outside when my neighbors are active. I don't have a mask. My mom's got an extra made for me. Just from her vast fabric stash. I have some scarves and handkerchiefs I could use as well.

My moms been making mask for people and giving them away. She made me a Star Wars mask and a butterfly one.

honestly if my husband was home and we has a sewing machine i would have him make me one of these

 i just think they look really amazing and it would also help as i have been sick and you don't know how long you can actually infect others afterwards.

I'm hating the masks and can't wait to never see them again  I have to wear them for 8+ hours, 5 days a week at work and I'm so over it. They aren't so bad when you only have to wear an hour or so at a time but having that thing on all day drives me nuts. I've switched to contacts cause I couldn't stand my glasses fogging up all the time. I've got all different varieties of masks but they all have their issues. I just hate having stuff on my face.

My moms cousin who works in LA sewing things made some for us. Mine is a Wonder Woman one. I am kinda glad we only have to wear them to the store, since I do have glasses I need for driving. They always seem to dog up when I wear a mask. Those plague doctor ones look super cool though, I think that is my favorite one to come out of this whole thing.

I'm so glad I work from home, because from what I've heard having to wear a mask is a miserable experience in general. One of my best friends isn't eligible for contacts, so she has to wear a mask over her glasses for her entire work day, which right now is 6 days a week. :( And she's not even in the medical field, where all the photos of medical professionals are surfacing who are likely going to have physical scarring from this level of mask use once it's all over.

Nope. Don't ever want to have to see them again.

That plague doctor mask is incredible! I do have a sewing machine and I may have to attempt that tutorial...though it's nothing I've ever tried before.

When we go into work (limited numbers very rarely) we have to wear masks. I have a simple fabric mask with wire in the nose bridge and a pocket so I can put a filter in it. I've been making them for friends and family out of fun fabric. My dad had me make 40 for his clinic....I was basically a one lady sweat shop for awhile. But I'm happy to help. My favorite mask is made of super cute kitty fabric.

My wife and I think we might have had Covid 19 back in January but we aren't sure. This virus makes me really anxious.

Ha ha!! I definitely feel like I’ve been working in a sweat shop. And I’m only doing them via word of mouth, feel bad because I’ve made over 200 now and I’m going to have to start charging because I’ve depleted my yardage I had and have spent a lot in purchasing more fabrics and supplies (thread/elastics). I didn’t want to but I will have no choice soon sadly if the demand keeps up.

Just finished this guy for a friend. <3

I love the little puppies on your mask Skybreeze! They are so so cute. I know how you feel about charging, I had to "charge" my Dad for the masks I made his clinic, I needed help buying more fabric and elastic. He was really cool about it though and didn't mind giving me some money for supplies. Right now I'm making some to mail to friends.

by the way 200 masks, that's a crazy amount. There should be a mask maker award somewhere that you can recieve. Great job and I know everyone who received a mask really appreciated it. Stay safe everyone!

Yeah, I'm very impressed as well.

I wonder if those masks went to a Hospital or Clinic or Testing Center...
Either way, I'm impressed by both of you working hard to keep your community's safe.

They’ve all gone to family and friends. We’re all nurses (for both human and animals) so essential workers who need the supplies. I’m only home because I’m immunocompromised myself, but as are my grandparents who live with me.

My aunt has also been going through radiation therapy for cancer. So, I made up a bunch for her and my uncle when I found out they weren’t giving masks to flipping cancer patients at the hospital. That’s what got me mad and I started sewing like a crazy person. Then my aunt asked (guilted me) for masks for some other people who were doing chemo and/or radiation with her. Then I made some for my clinic staff then family started asking for them. It got out of hand fast. Now everyone is asking for caps too. I just got a message from my friend (whose mask I took a picture of) apparently he wants to talk to me about doing an order for his office of 1,000+ people. -_- I think I’ve created a small monster in my attempt to protect my family and friends.

Skybreeze, whoa! You are like a superhero during Covid! You are amazing! It's awesome to help people but remember it's ok to set boundaries too, maybe you could make some masks for that office of 1,000 and share your pattern with them? No matter what you've done an amazing thing to help people.

I'm sorry you are compromised, that's scary, please stay extra safe. I'm the only full time librarian in my department who isn't compromised so I've been trying to help out as much as I can.

Thank you!! It’s just in my bones, I’m always ready to help people I care about or those who need it.

I don’t worry about it too much. I’m already very cautious when I go places and at work (so much so I get made fun of) so it hasn’t been too much change for me. The biggest thing is wearing my mask when I’m out in public, although I always did during cold/flu season anyhow. And I have terrible social anxiety so I tend to be a home body anyhow. So, I guess my body has been prepping for this quarantine for years. Ha ha!!!

I saw these masks and just felt I needed to share.

They are very unique and one of a kind but cost $30 each!!!

Just wondering, do you think they would be hard to recreate?
