I just got a beautful MIP mail order pearly baby Firefly. While I badly wanted the pearly babies as a child, and she is my first one, and very awe-inspiring to hold, I think I may keep her a few weeks and trade or sell her. I've seen a MIP pearly baby (cant remember which one) sell for $100. Does that sound right? I would probably want to trade her for Argie collectors pose Cherries Jubilee, or Argie Lofty/Gingerbread something else along those lines. Would an even trade be fair? Or could I ask for another one like plus Night Glider or 3 or 4 common US babies. I wouldnt mind doing a 1:1 trade. I guess it all depends on how bad the other person wants her, eh? Or would it be better to sell her and use the money to get a few. I know someone on the Arena has a Cherries Jubilee but her symbol is scratched and that would bother me. For the price she is asking, Id rather her be minter.
Any feedback?

Here's my humble opinion. ;)

I would say that a MIP Baby Pearly pony is worth about $75-80. The Argies you are interested in are about the same in price, so I would say that a 1:1 is fair. Nightglider seems to be going for around $30 these days, so she plus a few other ponies--either HTF or common--would also be a good trade. You could get two or three "lesser" HTFs (like Nightglider) as a trade.

You could sell her and then go shopping on your own, but I've found that people are so much more eager to trade (especially when it involves a higher priced item like your pony), and you can probably get more bang for your buck with a trade.

Hope that helps a little bit, and good luck!
